I closed the door behind Victoria as she stormed into the bedroom. The winds outside were getting more powerful, and the rain heavier. There was a hurricane that no one knew about, and it was for two days.
“What was Harold doing here?” She asked, pacing the white floors.
“He wanted to search the house for any weapons,” I told the fucker off. He didn’t like that, and when he left, Sergey told us Rafael Gamboa had Harold on his paycheck. The men are cousins, and Rafael is an illegitimate son. I know he works for the man, but not related to him.
“What the fuck is his problem? He came after me with a video of you eating my pussy in that room. He came after you, and now Adrik?”
“He did what?” I growled. She never mentioned Harold secretly keeping videos of us. The man had a motive, and he never hid it. Victoria warned me from the get-go.
“I wiped the video off his feed. It’s not important.” She waved a dismissive hand. It was not crucial, huh? The man signed his death warrant, and it was time to play his little games. “Harold works for Gamboa. There is no doubt now.”
“Sergey confirmed it. Gamboa will strike soon. There will be war.” And if you’ve read Clara and Marco’s Venomous Mistake, then you know what bad weather stands for; shit hit the fan.
“Is that why Julia said we’re going to Russia?”
“Yes. The private plane will be—” I strolled to Victoria, trying to keep calm since her disoriented state puzzled me. She was in safe arms. Did someone tell her something?
“I’m not going.” She looked into my eyes as I stopped her from pacing. She chewed on her bottom lip. I removed it with my thumb. “Don’t tell me you’ll handle it.” She argued, shoving me away. Her sudden emotion took me by surprise. “Don’t speak at all.” She pointed an accusing finger at me.
“What is the problem, now?”
“You’re the problem.” She hissed. “One sister to the next, huh?” She reached for the closest object and flew it after me. Luckily it was a fucking pillow. “You only want me because you couldn’t have my sister!”
I turned to the door, urging her to be quiet before someone heard her bullshit. “What the fuck are you blabbering about? Is that how Giulia put it?”
“It’s the damn truth. Julia told me everything.” She searched for another object when I held her down. “Let go of me.” I knew this day would come, but I had it under control.
“Not until you calm down and listen to me. I may not give a reasonable explanation,”
“Well, don’t explain anything at all—” She hissed, kicking her legs.
“But I can justify myself.”
“Oh, please.” She taunted. “You don’t have to justify shit. I’m running away from you to the ends of the earth. I’ll make you go crazy, Sasha.”
