Russian finally let me go to campus on Friday. Well, I begged him to let me since I hadn't attended a week's worth of class and couldn't afford to miss any more since we had tests coming up.

"Okay, I'll pick you up after class." He said when he turned the ignition off.

"My sister can pick me up,"

"No. I can drop you off to your apartment if you like." He insisted

"You're not going to let this go, huh?" I smiled at him

"No. So, I'm picking you up?"

"Yes, Professor Tribbiani," I said playfully.

Something in me felt different as I walked into my usual building. The days of my absence few but felt like months; I took the elevator to 21L-B, checking the time on my phone hoping Professor Lakes didn't say anything about my ten minutes tardiness, or why I hadn't shown up the past few days.

"Miss Versaï Paris," she called out when I hurried in, heading up for a seat. I pressed my eyes shut, scrunching my face before I  turned to look at her.

"You're no longer in this class," she announced, standing with her hands clasped in front of her.

"What?"

"The Dean informed me that you will be returning to your old class. Isn't that why you haven't been attending here?"

"Um...no, I...had gone away for a few days,"

"Well, you're not in this class anymore."

"Can't I just stay here?" I looked at her with plea, there was a negative aura back in 21R-B that I didn't want to indulge.

"I'm sorry dear but you can't. You'd need a new transfer slip,"

I nodded with a sigh of acceptance; I was so done for. Professor Lakes smiled at me kindly as I walked out and I smiled back but I wasn't happy. I dreaded my come back since I wasn't ready to face the things that awaited me; my nosy classmates, Austin and Michelle Zinni et cetera.

I wondered if she was fine, if she still remembered what happened that night. What would I do if she asked about Russian, if she knew his secret as well? Was she just going to go around aware of vampires existence? How did Russian and I fail to talk about this, we had a whole week's time.

My stomach churned when I stepped into class 21R-B. There was a new professor at the front of the class who stopped me in my tracks.

"And you are?" He asked

"Versaï Paris, I haven't been around the past few days but I'm in this class. You can check your list." I told him, turned my back to find my seat at the top middle. I had discovered this new found confidence around people like him since my little situation with Dean Herero and her disciplinary committee.

He was still going through his class list when I sat down. He tapped twice on the paper then nodded his head before speaking up again.

"Well, we've covered quite a lot in your absence,Miss Paris. Make sure to find someone to help you catch up." He addressed me "Alright then, let's go on." He reverted his attention back to the class.

My body tensed up when Michelle looked over her shoulder at me, our eyes meeting telepathically as a small smile appeared on her face. Oh my God!! She knew, she definitely knew! I had to tell Russian immediately. Without returning her smile, I averted her gaze to unlock my phone, quickly searching for Russian's contact which I had finally saved.

"Hey you," someone whispered next to my ear, startling me.

"Austin!" I whisper-yelled, shooting daggers at him. Why had he switched his place in the middle of class? He was getting in the middle of my plan to text Russian! I switched my phone off exasperatedly, trying to revert my concentration back to the lecture but failed because someone kept pinching my arm.
