I rummaged my bag for my key card; the door chirped a tiny melody when I twisted it to enter. Everything looked so out of place with several bags lying around like someone had just returned from a trip.

"I promise, it's not always like this." I looked back at Austin who just gave me a flustered nod.

Liberty appeared immediately, speed-walking to the living room with a look that said I was in so much trouble.

"Versaï, where the hell have you been?" She stood in front of me, surprisingly ignoring the fact that I brought a boy home.

"At Uni," I answered, well aware of what she meant.

"No, I mean the past four days. Mrs Kidman told me you haven't been around," her hands were pressed tightly on her waist. Well my guess was right, she hadn't been at home either.

"You haven't been home?" Austin suddenly questioned with a frown  since the last time we spoke on phone, I gave him the impression that I was here.

"Who is this?" Liberty gestured in perplexity, finally noticing him

"This is my friend Austin. Austin this is my sister Liberty." I introduced, walking away from them but Libby followed me quickly

"You don't get to escape!" She hurried after me then suddenly gasped "Were you with your...mmmmh!!" I quickly slapped my hand over her mouth to muffle her next words.

"Would you shut up for once! We have company, remember?" I said through gritted teeth before my attention was shifted to the figure that walked into the living room. "Jarrell, oh my god!!" I instantly left Liberty, running to hug him.

"Ohh, hey sweet pea!" He laughed whirling me in the air when I jumped into his arms.

"I'm so glad you're okay!!" Tears of joy seeped out of my eyes. Russian had kept his promise!

"I'm glad to see you too," he smiled when he set me back on my feet.

I introduced him to Austin when we all sat down together to eat. Liberty had picked him up from the hospital this morning on her way back from her trip.

Libby was telling me all about her amazing trip, showing me photos of herself and friends when the voice from the TV earned my attention, Jarrell was seated on the couch listening to the news.

"...investigations on the disappearance of five boys who were last seen on Monday night by their friend who claims were attacked and murdered by a strange man are still going on. The boy was in quite a shock when the police found him and has not spoken a single word till now.

The bodies of his friends are still missing but the police are doing everything they can to ensure the capture of this murderer...."

"Ookay, that's enough of that. I don't wanna ruin my mood," Libby grabbed the remote from Jarrell, switching the TV off.

"Hey, we need to keep up with what's going on," I told her

"You could have done that during the past days when I wasn't around...oh wait, you weren't here too, so..." Libby tilted her head with her hands crossed.

What the hell was her problem?

Exhaling heavily, I rolled my eyes at her sassiness then met Jarrell's gaze. He seemed worried like he wanted to share with me but he averted my gaze instead, looking back at his phone to avoid airing his mind.

Two people had been attacked by Russian on my account and now I'm hearing about these five boys who went missing on Monday night, that was the night he left me in his house, the night he killed 'someone'. Thinking about it, I never bothered to ask if he had killed more than one person then however it didn't matter now, the damage had been done.
