Russian stepped out of the dark when I met his gaze; he looked angry, very angry but I was the opposite. I know he was so late but he had still shown up, even if it was at the wrong venue. My body automatically swiveled to face him as he walked towards us, his cold gaze pressed on Austin who was transfixed beside me. He silently took my hand, pulling me into motion when Austin grabbed me to stop him.

"Where the hell do you think you're taking her?"

"If you put your hands on her again, I will not hesitate to break them myself!" Russian suddenly grasped Austin by his collar, jerking him forward. He pushed him back with a tinge of supernatural strength, casting him to the floor where he hit his back on the wall.

The few viewers who were still awake were to drunk to apprehend the matter of the situation so we just brushed through them to leave. Russian lifted me into his arms when we got out, stomping across the ground towards his car which was a bit far from the student residence halls.

I never said a word to him, I just lay my head on his chest feeling the weight of the alcohol drown my senses. He had the windows open for me on our drive back to his place, I'm assuming. I waved my hand through the air enjoying the breeze...

Russian hoisted me from the car again, bringing me into the house. My fingers played with his hair as he ascended the stairs and I noticed how silent he had been the entire ride back till now. He was mad, wasn't he? He placed me down gently then sat on the bed with a heavy sigh; I wobbled to him, standing between his legs and raking my hands through his hair again.

Russian looked up at me, placing his hands on my waist. His beautiful dark eyes gleamed sweetly at me making my heart flutter.

"Are you mad?" I aired my concern and he shook his head no. "Are you sure?" I insisted

"You're safe, so I'm not mad otherwise I'd have torn that boy's body apart." He was surely capable of doing that.

"I'm sorry I didn't wait long enough," I said after a moment of silence, my palm resting on the side of his face which he leaned into, closing his eyes as I slowly caressed him

"I'm the one who should be apologizing, for making you wait." His eyes opened when I touched his lips.

I didn't say a thing and neither did he, he just watched me closely. I slowly pushed my finger into his mouth running it over his sharp canine; I could still remember how his teeth felt against my skin but I didn't expect it then.

Now however...

"Bite me," I said softly as he sucked on my thumb

"Versaï, you're drunk." He kissed my palm slowly

"Bite me!!" I insisted "You can feed on me as much as you want so you don't have to kill people!" I uttered. I know I told myself I would find a way to be okay with how he lived his vampire life but I couldn't, I didn't want him to risk it all and get caught because it was only inevitable- the world would one day find out.

"Versaï, I could kill you. That's why I don't feed on you," he pulled me down to sit on his lap

"I just...I saw the news what if your secret gets out?"

"It won't, I took care of it."

"You killed him?" My eyebrows furrowed at his words

"No! I made him forget everything he saw that night."

"You can do that?" I frowned at him

"Yes, that's what I had Aiden do to Michelle Zinni. I can have him make your friend and sister forget too..." Oh, I guess Michelle wasn't pretending not to remember what happened.
