Timeskip-4 years

Four years had passed. Naruto had completed all the four nature transformations. He had to say it was very hard. The exercises were hard and time-consuming. It had taken him a year to get all his affinities to a good level enough to think about practicing individually.

Fire was taught by both Itachi and Shisui as it was expected of a Uchiha to have fire affinity. Lighting was taught by Itachi as it was his second affinity. Similarly, Shisui's second affinity was water. The wind affinity, this primary affinity was trained by his Jiji as neither of the Uchiha had wind affinity and it was also very rare in Konoha to have wind affinity. Being taught by the Kage was something he cherished a lot. He was very grateful to the old man as even being the Hokage he would find time for him. His shurikenjutsu and kenjutsu too had grown by leaps. His fuinjutsu too had progressed well he was nearing the end of level 8. He had also started to put resistance and gravity seals on him to increase his speed.

His taijutsu was a mixture of the Uchiha interceptor style and the Uzumaki free-flowing style. He had initially only done the Uzumaki style but he was not satisfied as it was too reliant on what the opponent did so he also learned the Uchiha style from his elder brothers to add some aggressiveness to his taijutsu. He also added parts of other various taijutsu styles that suited his style. This caused his taijutsu to be incredibly unorthodox and unpredictable and his exploitation of the kage bunshins too increased his unpredictability. His genjutsu department was fair in his opinion. He was nowhere near the Uchihas, just good enough to use a genjutsu occasionally if the situation favored.

He and his Jiji had a long debate when he asked for permission for Senju clan scrolls. Hiruzen was not happy with Naruto's request. But in the end his grandfatherly lenient behavior towards Naruto and the argument, 'Well you said Uzumaki were relatives of Senju and there is no Senju in Konoha, so I should be able to see them, and they are just sitting there.' won the debate. He always used to go to the Senju compound at night, so no one could catch him going into the closed compound. No one had been able to catch him yet. Well, he was able to run away and had the stealth to even get away from the Anbu black-ops after his big pranks such as painting the Hokage monument, which was his favourite. So, sneaking into places was not a problem for him.

But after a year or two when he calmly thought, he realized that just taking a vast amount of jutsu is of no use. He considered that his selfish desire to increase his arsenal was just a boasting point as he would never use a jutsu he wasn't too familiar with.

His academy life was just going as usual acting as dead last and being the class clown. He had to admit he gave Iruka a hard time. He had to purposely lose in taijutsu spars and be sloppy at shurikenjutsu. He had to praise himself for being such a great actor. He nevertheless liked spending time there as he could play pranks along with Choji and Shikamaru. They would be punished together. Sometimes the Hokage or even his Oba-chan had tried to remove the prankster side of him but they at the same time knew they were just trying to accomplish something near impossible.

Both Shisui and Itachi had joined the Anbu black ops for around nine and a half months now. He had seen the improvement in them after Anbu's training and mission. He was amazed, to say the least. They were among the top ninjas before but now could be called serious contenders for the top five, including the Hokage in the list. Due to the Anbu duties and mission, the shared time between them had decreased drastically. Nevertheless, when they could, they met. The time crunch was really faced by Itachi the most, due to his commitment to see by all the three kids he considered his little siblings. In the little time they had, either serious training or just chatting about whatever, they liked the shared moments and was it dear to them.
