The bell rang, dismissing the class. The kids jumped from their seats, ignoring the teacher as they grabbed their backpacks from the cubby and sprunted outside. The kids cheered, happy to finally leave the school after six agonizingly long hours. The last to leave was (Y/n). She looked around at the kids, meeting their parents. She sat at the steps of the entrance. Her father wasn't there yet. He was probably just getting off of work.
(Y/n) kicked her, blowing away a few leaves.a honk resounded in the parking lot. A red Mustang pulled up in front of the girl. It was her dad. She eagerly got up and got into the car. The man looked back with a soft smile, gracing his face. "Hey, sweet pea, how was school?" (Y/n) shrugged. "It was okay. Are we still going to Dj's birthday party?" She asked. "Yep." The father began driving out of the school parking lot. (Y/n) sighed in disappointment. She didn't really want to go, but every kid in her class was invited, and her parents wanted her to have friends. The father noticed her sour look through the rear view mirror. "I brought someone with me," he announced. (Y/n) face lit up. "CatNap?" Her father didn't answer as he moved his hand towards the passenger seat and reached back to give her the toy. "Huggy?" (Y/n) grabbed the blue toy. Huggys beady eyes staring her down. "Why can't I get CatNap back?" She asked. The man sighed. "We've been over this. His gas is just too much for you." She explained, keeping his eyes on the road. "But I won't use his gas, I promise." (Y/n) pleaded much to the man's disappointment. Why did his wife ever talk him into buying that for her? "(Y/n), no, and that's final." The car ride was pretty quiet after that. (Y/n) fiddle with the bandana on Huggys neck.
The two were back home as they enter the house, both with sour looks on their faces. "Dj's party is at 5:00, be ready by then, okay?" The man said, only to not get a reply as (y/n) just walked upstairs. The father sighed. Did he go wrong somewhere? God, he hoped he didn't spoil her too much. Maybe he was just overeacting. Yeah, this was just the perks of having a kid is all. At this point, he was dreading her teenage years. The man collapsed onto the couch. He really wanted to rest.

(Y/n) and her father stood at the doorsteps of a huge house. (Y/n) gripped the mans hand. "I don't think I want to go anymore." She spoke softly, nervousness overcoming her. The man pats her head with a reassuring smile. "It'll be okay. If anything goes wrong, have DJ's parents call me okay?" (Y/n) nodded, clenching her fist that held the Huggy doll. The father noticed her unnerving look and bent to her level. "This will be a good experience for you. You'll have a good time." He stood up and rang the doorbell. After a few seconds, a woman opened the door. "Oh, (y/n), you're just in time! We were just about to play pin the tail on the donkey." The lady gently leads (Y/n) inside. She looked at the father. "She'll have a great time, don't worry." Before she closed the door. Yeah, he shouldn't worry as much.
(Y/n) sat with the group outside. She was super excited about cake and games. The candy DJ's mom gave her didn't help at all. She cheered when they successfully pinned the tail on the donkey, ignoring the fact that DJ's father was repeatedly pinned in the butt. You think he'd take a hint after the second time to go back inside. (Y/n) didn't really want to participate in musical chairs. She didn't like how they were pushing each other to get a seat. She loved trying to hit the pinata. It was superman shaped, and DJ loved Superman. Not a day would go by at school when he was not talking about the superhero.
DJ's mom tied a blindfold over a little girls head, and she spun around as the kids counted to ten. The girl stopped spining, you could tell she was wobbly as she tried hitting upwards near the pinata. The kids cheered as (y/n) watched with excitement, wanting to see the pinanta burst and the candy fall to the ground. The girl tapped the pinata as she smirked, readying her swing as she wacked the pinata. Everyone screamed loud, encouraging the girl. She swung three more times before giving it a finishing blow. The candy busted from the pinata as the kids tried to get their fill of the candy. (Y/n) frowned...that's not right. 'Something's wrong.' she stared intently at the pinata. In her eyes, that wasn't superman, it was a monster. A Huggy doll ripped open, blood guts spilled onto the ground. The children weren't children anymore. They were mini huggy's, eating the flesh and the guts of the toy. (Y/n)'s breathing hitched. No, not again! What was happening?! Why was she seeing this?! She looked around as the sunset sky turned a crimson red color. The Huggys were covered in blood. One of them noticed her and walked up to her. (Y/n) eyes held a look of fear and confusion as it held it hand out, blood dripping from its fangs. The girl sprinted into the house into the bathroom, dropping her toy on the ground. She repeated the same words over and over like a mantra. "It's not real. It's not real. It's not real." she gripped thin air, hoping there was something there to comfort her. But Huggy wasn't there, her mom, dad, CatNap, Rodrick, Theodore. No one. She was all alone.

The father rushed inside the house as DJ's father rushed him inside. "She won't let anyone touch her, and she backs away when we do." He explained in distress. The kids were in the dining room eating cake, ignoring what was going on. The fathers stepped into the bathroom as they spotted (Y/n) in the tub quietly sobbing to herself. The man rushed other to his daughter to reach for her but paused hearing (Y/n)'s small voice. "Monsters. Bad monsters." He pressed his lips into a fine line as he sighed deeply. "(Y/n). Sweet Pea, it's me."He coed as softly as his voice could allow him. (Y/n) looked up slightly and stared at him, blinking repeatedly as if to get a better look at him. "Dad." She fell into his arms as the man winced at the sudden contact. "Hey, I gotcha, I'm here now." He Picked (Y/n) up gently as she buried her tear stained face into his shirt. The man and DJ's father walked out of the bathroom as the mother approached them. " Here, and I packed some cake for her." She handed the father (Y/n)s' Huggy toy and a container of cake. Vanilla with blue and red icing. The man thanked her as him and his daughter left DJ's house.

"Monsters? That's nothing new. Kids get nightmares. They get scared." The woman spoke, she glanced at (Y/n) who only sat on the floor, looking at the tv. "I know, but now it's happening every day, even when she's awake." The father said.
The lady sighed. "How long has this been going on for?" She asked. "Every once a month... For the past three years." The woman's eyes widened in pure shock. "Sir-!" "I know! I know, but I was so sure that eventually it would go away, but they never do. Ever since t-that day-" the man combed his fingers through his already disheveled hair. The lady studied his features before sighing. "I'll prescribe her some pills..." She began to write Something on her clipboard. The man began to stop her. "No, she doesn't need medication. She needs..." He tried to find the right words to say before giving up. "Okay, what exactly trigger these ...Hallucinations?" The lady tried choosing her words carefully. The man began looking back Into his memories, rubbing his hands over his face. "Uh, almost anything relating to playtime co. doctors, her classroom," the lady nodded, jotting down notes. The man glanced at (Y/n). She watched the duck quack to the human dramatically as the partner gasped in surprise. He turned his attention back to the woman as she spoke. "I suggest maybe homeschooling her for a while, and as for the playtime problem, I suggest getting rid of anything that's remotely similar to it. And if that doesn't work, I suggest hypnotherapy. Right around the corner." The lady said, giving the man a number on a piece of paper. He took it, giving the paper a perplexed look. He hoped it wouldn't come to that or the pills.
