so i was listening to music on my ipod today and various songs came up, and many of them were so on point for james and arista. so i made it my mission to create a playlist on 8tracks. and here it is: https://8tracks.com/claryvette/james-arista. sorry a lot of them are remixes. i dont have music on my laptop to upload, and most of the songs i wanted that were already uploaded on the website were remixes.
but here is the lists of songs: (i also apologize that all of them are in spanish).
1. a donde vamos a parar - marco antonio solis. the song is in spanish, but it basically says "where will we end up with this hurtful and absurd attitude? where will we end up, falling into the same mistakes?" its about a guy and a girl who want to be together, but always end up fighting, so he tells her to put the fighting aside and to let humility win so they can go get it on.
2. manda una senal - mana. this song is also in spanish. it basically says, "if you had freedom, i'd be by your side, my love. you love me and i love you, but you have someone else. give me a signal when you're free, my love because i cannot stand it. living without you is dying without you." so yeah. again, they want to be together, but she has someone else.
3. a dios le pido - juanes. in spanish as well. this song says, "if i die, i'll die of love. and if i fall in love, let me fall in love with you. and let my heart belong to your voice, everyday i pray to god." this guy just wants to spend every moment of the rest of his life with his woman.
4. angel de la manana - los caminantes. i only put this one bc i couldn't find the rondalla de saltillo version. that one has nicer lyrics. it basically says, "i only ask that you kiss me, angel. and this will be my last goodbye, my love." he just wants a kiss from her before he resigns himself over losing her and then he will leave her alone. the cover by los caminantes totally changes the lyrics. theirs says, "i'm looking for an angel of the morning, angel. an angel that will take fill my life with its light, my love." not as great. but it gets the point across.
5. colgando en tus manos - carlos baute. i could only find this song in bachata remix so bear with me. this is a beautiful song. it says, "i send you poems written by my own hand, i send you songs from 440, i send you the pictures we took in Marbella, and when we were in Venezuela. and that way you'll remember me and keep me in mind because my heart is in your hands." also a very nice song that i thought james and arista were on point with.
6. donde esta el amor - jesse & joy. i also could only find the remixed version of this song. it basically says, "let me touch your hair again, let me feel your chest against mine, i will repaint the sky with bright colors, i will make you forget the entire world. let me feel your lips, let me stop the hours, i will repaint the universe in blue, i will make this all become a dream." in this song, they say they want to be together. they want to feel each others lips. i thought it was super on point bc james and arista definitely want to be together.
7. eres mi religion - mana. i hate the fact that they only had the remix version. but this song basically says, "you're my glory, until death. my love, you're my religion. you're my light, you are my sun. please never abandon me. you're my sun, you're my everything, all of you is a blessing." the girl is everything to this guy. and i think it applies for james in the story because he seems to need arista more. i mean arista needs him too but she's more independent.
8. ojala pudiera borrarte - mana. mana has great songs okay? anyway, this one was a remix too. i hate remixes. but the song in itself is great. this one says, "i wish i could drown you in a puddle of roses and love. come back, my love, come back to me. i wish i could delete you forever from my life, so i wont have to see you anymore. i wish i could delete you from my days and nights, so i wont have to see you again, not even in dreams." so this guy, one minute he's asking for her to come back, and the next he wants her to go away. i feel like it connects to james and arista because they fight one minute and then they get along.
anyway, i hope you all liked the playlist. and give it a nice vote. and you should totally go listen to it, even if you dont speak spanish. the songs are great.
