The Caged Bird

My heart is a caged bird

Once full of gold, now tarnished

I kept it cold until feelings vanished

Sometimes, this little bird would want to escape

The dark world inside the cage

But someone like you

Made this little bird believe

That bars will soon fade away

She doesn't need to escape

She was meant to be here anyway
