She decided
to wear her scars
today.
For she thought,
they've been sitting
in her wardrobe
for too long,
neatly folded
beside her courage.
Finally,
she decided
to wear her scars
today.
Her scars
weren't among
her favorite
dresses.
But she tucked them in,
like flowers,
a crown to her hair.
And I had never seen her
feel beautiful.
