"When did this happen?" Noah asks, crossing his arms over his chest. Niko and I thought it would be a fine time to tell our dads were back together. My dad didn't like the idea so much, but it would've never happened if he wasn't my mate or the father to my daughter.

"We talked yesterday and decided that we should make this work for the baby, and well for us too." Niko grins, squeezing my hand. My dad frowned at Niko. I can tell he hated this. He doesn't want Niko to hurt me again and I cant say that I blame him. He's looking after me.

"Melinda its always been me and you against the world. I know you better than anybody else does. Are you sure this is what you want? Nobody will blame you." My dad announces. I know he wanted Niko to hear. Niko and are meant for each other. Even if he cheated on me. Were mates. I nod to my dad. This is definitely what I wanted. I'll be with Niko through thick and thin as long as he's not fucking the pack whore. I actually haven't seen her partner in crime- Kayley in a while. Niko told me that Nolan was coming down with something. That poor baby!

"Well we have to admit. They aren't like us back in the day. Same mistake, but different outcome." Alpha Noah mutters to my dad. My dad lowers his gaze to the floor. Is he mad at me again?

"What do you mean same mistake, different outcome? What girl put up with you two?" I chuckle. Its hard to believe they became friends, but dated the same girl. Who is she?

"Don't worry about it. Its not important now. Whats important is getting you to your doctors appointment. Lawrence hinted that she's growing faster than expected." Noah grunts. Alphas tend to be bigger than the rest of the pack, so i'm not worried. Just look at her dad. He's huge!

"Actually Lawrence canceled. He has an emergency." I reply, getting up from this death trap Niko called a chair. Niko offered to help me, but I waved him away. Just because were back together doesn't mean I fully trust him again. Noah growls at Niko. He doesn't like Niko being so useless to me. My stomach growls and all eyes fall to me. I'd just eaten 30 minutes ago. This girl could really eat!

"I just ate." I frown. Feeling her move around in me. She could get really aggressive when she gets hungry. I could already tell she's going to start kicking soon. Niko walks towards me, holding out his hand.

"I'll stop and get you some thing on the way to your house. You should be resting, you look exhausted." Niko mutters, pulling me off the comfourtable couch. I just sat down! I get up, and that's when I feel her kick so hard I feel it in my back. What in the hell is going on in there.

"Ouch! What the hell?" I murmur to my tummy, She's kicking the hell out of me.

"She's probably ready for her nap. Get some rest." My dad suggests.

"Alright. When are you going to be home?" I question my dad. Maybe Niko can stay a little longer. After being alone for a month , I didn't want to do it all over again.

"Make Niko stay with you. He's been an awful father to be. He should be there for you. You shouldn't need to lift a finger Melinda. You're so independent." Noah smirks. I used to be dependent on Niko, and look at all the pain I've been through. I know for a fact that will never happen again. I wont let it.

"Well, if you want something done right, you do it yourself. Her mother was the same way." My dad replies to Noah. Noah tilts his head to the ceiling, like he was remembering my mother in his head. Then he started smiling. I have to admit. Dad and Noah fighting all the time confused the hell out of me. They fought, but always stayed friends. I guess its old geezer logic or something.
