Niko's POV

"She's with Thomas's brother now." I sigh, flipping through channels. The night before I thought i'd talk to Mel alone. I've been a huge ass lately. After the twins were born-you'd think I would change right? I keep fucking my life up. Now she's with Blade. I've ran the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with into the arms of another man. Its not her fault-I admit that. Now, I'm kicking my own ass for it. After the funeral, I'd thought about all the promises I made to her. I thought about how I broke every single promise like a massive jackass, but there's no way I can forget about Codie. I love her too.

"And you're okay with that? Sweetie you should be kicking down her door telling her you love her. Don't you love her?"

"I wouldn't be telling you how bad I wanted to shove my foot down Blade's throat if I didn't love her, Stacy." I frown. As much as I hated Blade, he's right. I honestly have no idea why Mel is still talking to me either. Stacy slaps my chest as she takes the remote from right out of my hands. She's been my 'Get off your ass and fix the relationship with your mate coach' although the whole pack is telling me how bad I fucked up.

"Why in the world did you tell her you wanted to be friends? Obviously you want to be with her. Blade isn't the type of guy who goes for short term relationships. If he has his eyes on Mel, Its going to be a while before he lets her go. He dated his last girl for 10 years." Stacy rolls her eyes. She changes the channel to some reality show.

"She deserves a long term relationship."

"I used to envy you and Mel. Your love for each other was like the love you read in stories. A perfect match...Niko, no matter how many girls you sleep with-no matter how many guys Mel hangs out with, at the end of the day no girl and no guy will be able to replace that love that you and Mel have for each other. Not Codie, not Blade. You and Mel belong together, period. Stop acting like infants. Arya and Nik are more mature than you two. The other night should've opened your eyes Niko. She's wants to get you back. That's all she ever wanted Niko. Yet, you find a way piss her off. Its like you like seeing her upset or something."

"I don't...I've calling her all morning, just to apologize to her, but I guess she's still upset. She doesn't want to answer." I frown taking my remote back. I hate reality shows.

"My mom used to always tell me 'If you love it, let it go. If it comes back, its yours.'" I look over at Stacy. That doesn't make sense.

"You say she's with Blade. Let her go with him. Tell her that she doesn't have to be miserable here. She can be with Blade."

"If I say that she'll leave with him." I argue back.

"Maybe she will, but if she loves you like she says she does and if you love her like you say you do. She'll come back to you, and you'll welcome her with open arms. Blade doesn't want to take her away from you. He wants you to acknowledge your mistakes."

"I lied, I cheated and lied again. I hurt her so many times that I can see it in her face, What I did was unacceptable and the way I treated her afterwards was-stupid. I put my mate and my kids in jeopardy with no remorse. I should be ashamed of myself for ruining my relationship with the girl I love and the bad reputation I put on my pack. There's no way she should've forgiven me. " Stacy punches me so hard in my chest, I think I felt my heart stop. A tear had escaped her eye. I could tell she had been trying to hold them back.

"If you know all of this-how come you've been sitting here for a month, thinking about some whore who wanted nothing more from you than whats between your legs? How could you be so damn stupid?!" She punches me again.

"Are you trying to piss me off? Calm the fuck down. Mel needs her space just as much as I do. I wanted to make sure that it was me she wanted, but she doesn't-not anymore, anyway.
