Suddenly, a firm grip seized Heeseung’s arm, yanking him away from Sunghoon with a forceful tug.

He stumbled, surprised, but before he could catch his balance, he found himself face to face with Jay, who was glaring past him at Sunghoon with barely concealed fury.

Sunghoon let out a long sigh, rolling his eyes in exaggerated annoyance.

“Hi to you too, Jay.”
He drawled, crossing his arms as if prepared for whatever Jay was about to throw his way.

Jay’s eyes flashed with anger as he hissed.
“You’re disgusting, Sunghoon, doing this to Heeseung, making him a spectacle, like one of your usual flings.”

Sunghoon’s lips curled up in a smirk, clearly unfazed.

“And..what exactly did I do to him, Jay?”
He asked, his tone light with a hint of amusement that only seemed to rile Jay further.

Jay’s jaw clenched, and he squared his shoulders, his voice sharp as he practically spat out.
“You’ve tarnished his reputation. People are talking about him because of you! Whispers, rumors-”

But Sunghoon only raised an eyebrow, an amused smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

“Because I fucked him? That's not a rumour, that's what happened.” He replied, nonchalant.
“And..That’s what ruined his reputation? Seems a little fragile if that’s all it took.”

Jay’s fists tightened, his entire body tense as though he was on the verge of throwing a punch.

But just as he was about to lunge forward, Heeseung stepped in, his hand pressing gently but firmly against Jay’s arm, stopping him in his tracks.

“Jay, can you just..leave it be?” Heeseung’s voice was soft but steady, his gaze fixed on Jay.
“I don’t see how it’s your place to talk to Sunghoon like that.”

Jay’s expression softened slightly as he looked at Heeseung, but his grip on Heeseung’s hand tightened.

Without another word, he turned, practically dragging Heeseung away, his steps quick and determined, as though he wanted to get as far away from Sunghoon as possible.

As they walked, Jay’s voice dropped to a low, heated whisper.

“Sunghoon is a piece of trash, Heeseung. Do you really want to get involved with him any more than you already have?”
He paused, glancing at Heeseung with a hurt and resignation.
“I got it, okay? You succeeded. You made me jealous, you hurt me. But it’s over. Stop now, before he hurts you.”

Heeseung let out a frustrated sigh and turned, his footsteps quickening as he darted away from Jay, hoping to put some distance between them.

He didn’t look back.

He could only hear the sound of Jay’s footsteps gaining speed behind him, relentless and determined.

Heeseung sprinted towards his dorm, his heart pounding, finally reaching the door and slipping inside.

He tried to shut the door quickly, but Jay’s hand caught it, pushing it open as he followed Heeseung in.

He closed the door firmly behind them.

“Stop running, Heeseung.”
Jay said, his voice low but demanding.
“What’s wrong with you?”

Heeseung scowled, reaching out to push Jay back, his hands firm against his chest.

“You think you own me, like you have any say over what I do. But it’s not like that!”
He said, his voice wavering with frustration, his words tumbling out, desperate to make Jay understand.
