Sunghoon’s gaze sharpened as he noticed the distant look in Heeseung’s eyes, the way he seemed lost in his thoughts even as they lay so close together.
Without a word, he leaned in, brushing a soft, lingering kiss against Heeseung's lips, drawing him back to the present.
He pulled back just slightly, his voice a gentle murmur as he looked into Heeseung’s eyes.
“What are you thinking about, pretty?”
He asked, his thumb tracing a delicate line along Heeseung’s jaw.Heeseung’s heart fluttered at the tenderness in Sunghoon’s gaze, his worries momentarily melting away under the warmth of Sunghoon’s touch.
A small smile spread across his lips, and without hesitation, he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Sunghoon's lips, letting his own affection spill through.
"You."
He whispered against Sunghoon’s mouth, his voice soft and full of honesty.Sunghoon’s lips curved into a smile as he kissed him again, a deeper, more earnest kiss that seemed to capture everything they felt in that moment.
As they held each other, Heeseung felt the weight of his decision linger in the back of his mind, but he pushed it aside, letting himself sink into the comfort of Sunghoon's arms just a little longer.
Sunghoon’s smile turned mischievous as he leaned in, his lips brushing along Heeseung’s neck, leaving a trail of soft, warm kisses.
His fingers deftly began to unbutton Heeseung’s shirt, one button at a time, his eyes never leaving Heeseung’s as he murmured.
“Then let me make you think more of me.”Heeseung’s cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink, his breath catching as he felt Sunghoon’s touch become more intimate.
Slowly, he let his head fall back, surrendering to the tenderness and warmth, allowing himself to feel every soft press of Sunghoon’s lips, his hands, every gentle caress.
There was something intoxicating about Sunghoon’s affection, something that made Heeseung want to forget all his doubts and stay in this moment.
Even if it wouldn’t last, even if he knew in his heart it wasn’t entirely real, Heeseung wanted Sunghoon.
He needed him, even if just for a fleeting moment, even if it would end with him having to let go.
But as Sunghoon’s arms held him closer, Heeseung’s heart tugged, a silent warning whispering that if he kept this up, he might fall too far, too fast.
And yet, right now, he didn’t want to resist.
He closed his eyes and let Sunghoon love him, clinging to the warmth they shared, even as he knew that one day, he’d have to find the strength to walk away before it became too much to bear.
The next day at college,
Sunghoon sat in the bustling cafeteria with his friends, absentmindedly eating his lunch. As he took a bite of his sandwich, he noticed Jay crossing the room, headed straight toward the table where Heeseung sat with Jungwon and Sunoo.
Sunghoon’s chewing slowed, his eyes narrowing as he followed Jay’s path, a strange feeling tightening in his chest.
He paused, licking a stray piece of bacon off his lip before setting the sandwich down, his full attention now on Heeseung.
Heeseung was just a friend with benefits, he reminded himself, no strings attached.
Heeseung didn’t have feelings for him.
Sunghoon knew that much.
