"Padawan Ortis, will Master Koth be okay?" One of the younglings asked Valerie. Valerie, Ahsoka, and Barriss were sitting in one of the classrooms, they had taken the younglings from the communication room and brought them here. Valerie looked at Ahsoka and Barriss. The two of them shrugged.

"Of course he will be." Valerie looked back at the youngling.

"Yes, Master Kenobi and Master Amon are some of the best and will rescue him." Ahsoka agreed.

"They should be back from rescuing Master Koth soon anyways." Barriss added. "There is nothing to worry about."

"Exactly." Valerie smiled. "Why don't you all try meditating, let the force guide you."

The doors to the classroom opened and Valerie saw Master Yoda and Master Windu walk in. Everyone turned to look at them. They both had looks of concern on their faces and for some reason Valerie couldn't help but get a sinking feeling in her stomach.

"Padawan Ortis, a moment." Master Windu said.

Valerie looked at Ahsoka and Barriss again. They seemed just as confused as she was. "Um, of course." Valerie nodded and followed the two Jedi masters out of the room. Silently, she followed them down the halls and into another communication room. It was dark and someone was already on the holo-table.

"Padawan Ortis." Master Kenobi bowed his head.

"Master Kenobi." Valerie bowed back. "What's... going on?"

"A problem there is." Master Yoda said. The lighting hasn't changed but Valerie felt that the room just gotten ten times darker.

"Yes," Master Kenobi said. "We rescued Master Koth as planned but-"

"But what?" Valerie anxiously said. "What is going on?"

Master Kenobi sighed. "Master Amon has been taken."

"Taken? Taken by who?" Valerie looked at the two Jedi in the room with her.

"He was taken by Grievous's droids." Master Kenobi said.

"And you didn't stop them?" Valerie questioned. She couldn't understand why everyone just looked so calm. She didn't know the details but was already freaking out on the inside.

"I was still dealing with Grievous when his droids rendered him unconscious and dragged him away." Master Kenobi sighed. "He was taken off the ship by the time I caught up."

"Well, is there a plan in place to get him?" Valerie asked.

"We don't know where he's been taken." Master Windu said. "A plan of rescue just isn't happening until we know where he's been taken."

"That's unacceptable!" Valerie scoffed. Of course Master Windu wasn't rushing into saving him. Master Amon never told her why the two of them didn't get along but it wasn't exactly a secret between the two of them either.

"Watch your tone, Padawan." Master Windu warned. She was starting to see why Master Amon had his grievances with the master.

"Upset you are. We understand." Master Yoda said.

"You all are just gonna leave him?" Valerie had to step away from the two Jedi. She wanted to throw something. "He could be getting tortured... or worse!"

"Do not raise your voice, Padawan Ortis!" Master Windu boomed over her. "You are to head to your sleeping quarters and await further instruction." Or to throw something at Master Windu.

Valerie gasped. "But-"

"Now!" Master Windu furrowed his brows.

Valerie's nostrils flared and she was heavily breathing but turned and stormed out of the room without another word.
