Lost in the night
I saw a figure ahead
A shadow unmoving,
Like the living dead.
A chill crawled up my spine
As I took a step near
Drawn by a force,
Tangled in fear
Scared,
Scared was I.
There must be something ill
His eyes met mine,
Empty and deep.
It's the moment I knew
He could take my heartbeat
"I'm impressed", his voice a soft hiss,
"Let me help you come out of this abyss"
"Peace that you want, I'll offer.
Know little soul, I'm the taker"
