"You're still coming this weekend, right?" I laugh at my mother's eagerness. She hasn't stopped asking me to come over since she found out about Rosalie and me dating. At first, she couldn't believe someone like Rosie was with me, which I didn't know what to make of. I guess I thought the same when we first got together. It still surprises me that someone as beautiful and good as Rosie is with me. I'm the luckiest guy ever. Especially because tonight, I get to take her on a date. "Yes, mom. We'll be there." I tell her. "I've got to go. I love you." "Love you too, honey." I hang up the phone and knock on her door, waiting for her to open it. It's been too long since I saw my girlfriend. Fuck, girlfriend. That word makes me shiver, but not in the way it used to. In a way, that makes me shake with anticipation to see my gorgeous girl. The door swings open, and I'm socked in the chest. "Holy shit." I look down her body, her long blonde hair flows down her back, and on her body is a sexy, little black dress hugging her figure. I've never seen her in black. "What have you done to my angel?" I ask her. She grins. "You like?"I erase the distance between us and lean down. "I love," I rasp, tipping her head back. "And I love you," I whisper before kissing the living shit out of her. Her lips are so sweet, she's always so sweet, but tonight she looks like a provocative dream. Her lips part with a gasp and I use it to my advantage and slide my tongue inside her mouth, tasting her, savoring her, drowning in her. I can't get close enough. I want to crawl inside her skin where she keeps the pure sunshine beaming inside of her. My hand finds her thigh, lifting the dress as I raise my hand on her thigh, feeling her supple skin under my touch. I groan into her mouth when my hand travels high enough to her hips, where I don't feel any panty lines. She's not wearing any fucking underwear. "This date will be over sooner than planned if we keep this up." She pans her hands on my chest, feeling the material of the shirt. "That's fine by me." I laugh, leaning in and kissing the top of her head. "God, I love you." "I'll never get tired of hearing it." she lets out a sigh of contentment. "Good, because I'll never get tired of saying it." I pull back and tighten the hold on her hand, squeezing it. "I got you something." "You didn't have to get me anything," she says, and then she smiles. "What is it?" I can't help but laugh. I figured out pretty quickly that her love language is gifts. I love seeing the look on her face when I surprise her. It doesn't matter what it is, she lights up every time, and I love it. I pull out the flowers I bought for her earlier and hand them over to her. She gasps and takes them from me, and I feast. Tracing her features with my eyes, seeing how her eyes light up and her cheeks turn pink as she grins. She's so happy, and that's all I want. I want to make her happy. I want to be on the receiving end of those smiles for the rest of my life. Because nothing feels better than seeing Rosalie smile. It's so warm, so beautiful. It's my angel. "Grayson," she breathes, making me smile from hearing my name alone. "They're beautiful." "They're orchids," I tell her. "White orchids. They remind me of the first time I ever saw you." She looks up at me, lips parted in shock, and she gulps. "I think these are my favorite flowers."I laugh. "I thought you said you didn't have any favorites." "I didn't," she says. "Until you." "You like them?" She nods. "I love them. Thank you." "You don't have to thank me, angel. I want to make you happy," I tell her. "You do." She wraps her arms around me, flowers in one hand, the other around my neck. "So much." She pulls back, and her eyes fall onto my lips before looking back up at my eyes. "Ugh." We turn at the sound of Leila walking out of Rosie's room. "Look at you... in love." She shakes her head. "I'm leaving before I throw up." I try to hide my laughter in the crook of Rosie's neck, but it doesn't go unnoticed. "I can hear you," she says, narrowing her eyes at me before leaving the apartment. Yeah, I guess she's not my biggest fan ever since I called her and pretty much scolded her for giving Rosie pot brownies, but I can't help but want her to like me. She's Rosie's best friend, she's important to Rosie, which means I want to be on her good side. I had to bribe Gabriella with candy to get her to stop ignoring me. She wanted to punish me for breaking Rosie's heart. Believe me, I torture myself over that fact often. I hate that I hurt her, that I made her believe that I didn't love her when I know now that if I had to be without her, I'd be a miserable man unable to carry on without my angel. At least Madi likes me. She's cool, didn't give me shit about it, just warned me that if I broke Rosie's heart again, I'd have to deal with her. I promised her that I would rather die than hurt her again. "You ready?" I ask Rosie. She nods, flashing me that beautiful smile of hers. "Let's go." Once again, she's so excited even though she has no idea where we're going. I have a surprise for her. I kept the list. Maybe I shouldn't have, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. We only have one thing to cross off. Skinny dipping. I've done it before. Senior year of high school, but I barely remember any of it. It was boring, disappointing. But this time, it's different. It's withRosie. I'm experiencing another first with her. I want to rewrite my whole history with her. I want to make all of her experiences my own. I want to do everything with her. For the rest of my life. THE END
