"Miss me?" Thea Queen asked her brother as she entered his apartment.

"Of course Speedy. I haven't seen you since I came home from the island and you have been terrible about keeping in touch." Oliver said with a smile as he hugged his little sister.

"I know, I'm the worst. But now where's my niece?" Thea asked, looking around.

"Laurel has her at the park, mainly because she still hasn't taken off her Halloween costume yet. I assume you want to see pictures?" Oliver asked.

"Of course I do." Thea said as Oliver pulled out his phone and began to show Thea pictures of his daughter dressed up as Wonder Woman.

"Ok, you need to send me all of these pics." Thea said.

"I will. But seriously, Jasmine misses having her Auntie Thea around. I know you have school, but you could call more." Oliver said.

"I know and I'm sorry about that. But from what I hear, you've been plenty busy yourself. In fact, apparently there are rumors about you winning the Star City humanitarian of the year award. I never thought I'd see the day that my big brother became a humanitarian." Thea said with a grin and Oliver chuckled.

"Yeah, well, I want my daughter to grow up in the best version of Star City possible. But anyways, what brings you here now?" Oliver asked.

"Right, thanks for reminding me why I came here this weekend. I have something I need to tell mom, but thought I could run by you first so you could help me break the news to her." Thea said.

"What is it?" Oliver asked.

"I want to switch majors, since honestly, I don't want to run the family business. I only wanted to run the company because I thought it's what mom wanted me to do and that it might help me feel closer to dad, but I don't want to study business." Thea said.

"Okay, so what are you thinking, since you need to have some kind of plan if you want to get mom behind this, especially since I have no plans on taking over Queen Consolidated right now." Oliver said.

"I was thinking about political science, since I've always been interested in politics." Thea said.

"Huh, you thinking about running for office?" Oliver asked with a smile, though he could honestly see Thea getting a career in politics.

"Let's not get crazy yet, but I've seen what you've been doing with your community center in the Glades. I want to see what kind of difference I can make from inside the system." Thea said and Oliver smiled.

"I think it's a great idea Thea and you have my full support and I'll help you sell mom on it, though she'll probably start trying to pressure me to take over the family business soon." Oliver said.

"Yeah, sorry about that." Thea said, though she clearly wasn't.

"I'm sure you are, but if it comes down to it, I'll step up, since I've already got my center running smoothly." Oliver said, right as the TV, which he'd had on in the background, suddenly switched to a breaking news report and when he saw his mother's face on the news, Oliver immediately turned up the volume.

"Breaking news. This just in, Moira Queen, the CEO of Queen Consolidated was abducted on her way home from the office earlier this evening. Authorities are still working to determine a motive, since no ransom has been demanded. When asked for comment, police detective Quentin Lance refused to give any comment at this time, though he does assure the public that Mrs. Queen and her abductors are a top priority of the SCPD, but personally, I'm hoping that they're not the only ones looking, since Star City has its own hero to help, a founding member of the newly formed Justice League, the Green Arrow." the news anchor Bethany Snow said.

"Oh my god." Thea said.

"Come on, we need to get to the Police Station now." Oliver said, though Bethany was right about something. The Green Arrow would be all over this case.

"Oliver. I'm sorry you had to learn about this over the news." Quentin said when his future son-in-law and his sister walked into the precinct.

"It's okay Quentin." Oliver said, trying to keep his voice under control, since Quentin wasn't the one he was angry at.

"And I'm sorry that you had to come home to something like this Thea." Quentin said.

"I'm just glad I was already in the city when I found out." Thea said.

"What do you know about the abduction so far?" Oliver asked.

"Not much. We found your mother's car in an alleyway off fifth and we found that her usual driver had called in sick today due to stomach issues. We're running tests now to see if he was really sick or something else was at play and we're searching the area around where we found the car for any leads." Quentin said.

"You think I'd be used to this by now." Thea said as Oliver placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Hey, don't even think about going there right now. This isn't like what happened with the Gambit. Mom might be missing, but she's not dead." Oliver said, feeling bad that Thea had to go through this again, especially so soon after he came home.

"I'm sorry Ollie, but it's hard not to go there again." Thea said and Oliver sighed, since he knew what he had to do.

"Quentin, I'm gonna take Thea home, see if she can get some rest, please keep us informed on the investigation and let me know if there's anything I can do to help." Oliver said and Quentin nodded as Oliver led Thea out while pulling out his phone and ignoring the calls coming from the Queen Consolidated board of directors, since now was not the time to be dealing with them. Especially since he'd learned after he got back that after the Gambit had gone down and his mother had taken over Queen Consolidated that she'd put protocols in place should this happen.

"Please tell me we're not really going home, since I don't think I can rest knowing that mom's in danger." Thea said as they rode in the car.

"No. We're going somewhere else. Somewhere that I hope will put your mind at ease for a bit." Oliver said, since he'd already texted the others and they'd all agreed with him that this was the best course of action.

"And that would be?" Thea asked as the car came to a stop outside his community center.

"Follow me." Oliver said as he helped her out and showed her into the computer lab.

"What's going on here?" Thea asked as Oliver opened the secret entrance to the Barracks.

"It's time I told you everything." Oliver said as he led Thea into the elevator and sent it down.
