Floyd Lawton was annoyed as he was on the phone with his contractor, who was admonishing him for 'failing' his assignment.

"I shot up that event just like you hired me to do. How was I supposed to know that Queen would be so inspirational that he could turn the shooting to his advantage to salvage the night?" Lawton asked.

"I don't care. You haven't been paid yet, which means I can change our contract." his employer said.

"Hey, as long as you can afford to pay for the change, you can change it to whatever the hell you want." Lawton said, since as long as he got paid, he didn't care what was added, since it meant that he could get more money out of it.

"That's the kind of attitude I like to hear. You get the job done and I'll triple what I was originally going to pay you." his employer said.

"Sounds good to me. So what am I doing now?" Lawton asked.

"While I was hoping to avoid this, it's clear that Oliver Queen is too much of a threat to my plans to be left alive. So get rid of him." his employer said.

"Consider it done." Lawton said with a grin, since this was the kind of job he preferred anyways. It was much easier in his opinion.

"Good. Let me know when it's done and make sure it's handled quietly, so be careful and make sure there are no witnesses." his employer said.

"Deal." Lawton said as he hung up, only for an arrow to fly through the window of his motel room.

"What the?" Lawton asked as he grabbed his rifle in time to see the same lunatic in green leather he'd see a few nights ago at his initial job come flying in.

"Floyd Lawton, you have failed this city." the green guy said as he flung a flechette into Lawton's shooting hand, causing him to drop his rifle in pain.

"Damn, how did you find out my name?" Lawton asked.

"Your calling card is too obvious. Made it easy to both track you down and get your name." the green guy said.

"Noted for next time." Lawton said, only for the archer to pin him up against the wall by putting an arrow through his hand into the wall.

"There won't be a next time. But if you want to go to prison instead of hell, you'll start talking." Green Arrow said angrily.

"What?" Lawton asked, trying not to wince in pain from the arrow in his hand.

"Who hired you and why." Green Arrow demanded.

"I don't know. They contacted me anonymously. As for why I was hired, someone wanted to shut down Oliver Queen's community center and now I've been contracted to kill Queen himself." Lawton said, but before he could say anything else, another window shattered as a black arrow flew through the air and hit Lawton in his right eye and Green Arrow watched him die.

"Damn it." Green Arrow said before he followed the path of the arrow outside to see someone wearing black gear that he recognized as league of assassins gear standing there, bow raised.

"Things just got complicated." Green Arrow said as he fired an arrow at the other archer, only for his arrow to be blocked by one of the other archer's, so he then fired a cable arrow to pursue the other archer on the rooftop.

"Who are you?" Green Arrow asked.

"I could ask you the same question. Why are you attempting to interfere in my master's plans?" the other archer asked him.

"Who do you work for?" Green Arrow demanded.

"You'll find out soon enough. But you're wasting your time trying to save this city, when it's a lost cause. The Glades are a cancer to this city. The only way to save it is to destroy it and rebuild it into something better." the other archer said.

"You're insane if you actually believe that. And now you're going to tell me what the hell is going on. One way or another." Green Arrow said.

"I don't think so. We'll meet again, but until then." the other archer said as he dropped a smoke bomb on the ground to cover his escape.

"Damn it." Green Arrow said before returning to Lawton's side and was relieved when he felt a pulse and quickly called for the authorities to take him to a hospital. But before he left, he decided to take some stuff with him.

"Where did you get the tip to pick this guy up?" Lieutenant Frank Pike asked as he and Detective Quentin Lance watched the EMTs wheel Lawton out of the motel on gurney, barely clinging to life.

"It was an anonymous tip, but it was good, since this guy is wanted for murder in at least 6 different countries and we found proof that he was the one who shot up Oliver Queen's community center a few days ago, though we haven't been able to find his laptop or his phone." Quentin said and Pike nodded.

"Keep looking, but we have enough to prosecute him once he gets out of the hospital." Pike said and Quentin nodded, though he did wonder what happened to Lawton's devices, but as he looked around, he could've sworn he saw a man in a green hood on a rooftop, just for a second, looking down at them before he vanished.

Laurel smiled as she saw her fiance enter their home after finishing a night on the job.

"I saw on the news that Lawton's going to jail, but I didn't think you'd put an arrow in his eye." Laurel said, since that seemed extreme, even for someone who'd gone through what Oliver had.

"I didn't. Someone else did to silence Lawton before he could talk. There's another archer in this city and based on our dialogue, it sounds like he's not even the top player in whatever is going on." Oliver said.

"That sounds disturbing." Laurel said.

"Tell me about it. Which is why I did not leave empty handed. I grabbed both Lawton's laptop and his phone. If I can access them, maybe I can get some intel about who hired him and why." Oliver said.

"Last time I checked, hacking wasn't your specialty, even before the island." Laurel said.

"That's why I'm personally taking this stuff to Gotham to see if Bruce's people can crack it, since until my base is ready, I can't exactly bring any tech people into my team yet." Oliver said and Laurel nodded.

"Enough about that for tonight. Come here and spend some time with the fiance that you've been neglecting lately. The mystery will still be there in the morning." Laurel said and Oliver chuckled as he sat down next to her.

"Fair enough. I guess I can put a pin in it until tomorrow." Oliver said.

"Glad you see things my way." Laurel said.
