"Wait, you're the new Argus director?" Oliver asked Sara after she gave Team Arrow the news.
"Trust me, no one was more surprised than I was, since when I ratted out Waller, I definitely did not expect to get her job." Sara said.
"Still, I can't think of a better person for the job than you, since the world is better off with Waller in prison and you taking her place, though I'm sure you find the idea of being stuck behind a desk annoying." Laurel said.
"A bit, but it's not like I'll be behind a desk anytime soon." Sara said.
"What do you mean?" Oliver asked.
"After I exposed Waller's operations, President Marsdin decided that the best way to fix Argus was to disband it and task me with rebuilding it from the ground up, so after the honeymoon, Ava and I will still be spending a lot of our time traveling and recruiting, investigating our now former agents to see which ones can be trusted in the new Argus and which ones are going to be prisoners of the new Argus. We're not going to be throwing people into black sites without due trial anymore. Those kinds of tactics ended with Amanda Waller. I'm going to be talking to the president about setting up an oversight committee for Argus, since one of the reasons things got so bad is that Waller was given too much autonomy and she abused it. I want there to be oversight to ensure that I can't become her." Sara said.
"Proving that you're a better leader than Waller ever was." John said, ever since he'd been brought into the fold, he'd been fully brought up to speed on what his wife really did for a living.
"Yeah, Waller was allowed to get away with way too much crap for too long." Oliver agreed.
"The world is definitely better off without her in it. She's lucky that she was only sent to Stryker's Island, since I kind of wanted to send her Belle Reve." Sara said.
"That would be a death sentence for her." Oliver said, since he, Tatsu and Luke were all aware of Belle Reve.
"What's Belle Reve?" Laurel asked, speaking on behalf of herself, John and Abby.
"It's a federal prison that was built to house super criminals. The worst of the worst. Waller kept certain prisoners at Argus and put bombs in their heads to force them to carry out borderline illegal missions that they were forced to accomplish or else died and if they completed enough missions, then they get their freedom, but more often than not, they die before they get the chance." Oliver said.
"Damn." John said, understanding why Oliver and Tatsu hated Waller so much.
"Not to mention she forced Oliver and I to work for her for about a year in Hong Kong and that mission cost me my son and my husband." Tatsu said angrily, her fist tightening as she thought about that.
"Yeah Task Force X, or as it's members called it, the Suicide Squad, has been disbanded and it's former members are currently having their explosives disarmed and removed by highly trained specialists before they're transferred to Belle Reve, which is actually why I'm here. Ollie, I need your team, or at least you and Tatsu, to patrol the transport to make sure nothing goes wrong, since I'm not sure who in Argus aside from myself, Ava, Gamble and Lyla I can trust." Sara said.
"Done." Oliver said, since he and Tatsu both knew how important it was that this transfer went off without a hitch.
"What about John and I?" Laurel asked.
"You're not ready and John doesn't have a suit yet. Besides, the kind of criminals in this transfer will be the worst of the worst, maybe even possible metas." Oliver insisted and Sara nodded.
"I'm going to be vetting my former unit members, since we were Argus's most elite strike team, so I want to make sure they're all clean before they assist in the escort. Also, I think we should talk about making Team Arrow a black ops unit of Argus, since I feel like we'll already have some kind of partnership and it'll also protect your team from any legal repercussions, since we can say that your actions are off the books Argus missions." Sara said and Oliver nodded.
"Not to mention, it would be easier for us to have access to Argus intel. But who are the inmates being transferred?" Oliver asked.
"Here are their files. The ones currently being prepared for transfer to Belle Reve are the following: David Kane, Ben Turner, Digger Harkness and Mark Scheffer, also known as Black Manta, Bronze Tiger, Captain Boomerang and Shrapnel. They were all apprehended and recruited due to being the best at what they can do and I'm glad that I'm shutting the program down, since I saw who Waller's next recruit would've been." Sara said.
"Who?" John asked.
"Floyd Lawton. Aka Deadshot. Somehow he survived his encounter with the other archer Ollie fought when he first became active and apparently Waller was developing tech to help compensate for his issues. But Lawton is being sent to Slabside Supermax, since he's not an actual super criminal. At least not yet, but he's too dangerous to send to Iron Heights." Sara said.
"When you're able to, I need you to arrange a visit between myself and Lawton, since he might have intel I need about the other archer and how to stop him." Oliver said and Sara nodded.
"I'll see what I can do." Sara promised.
"Thank you. Having the director of Argus as a member of our team will definitely help our cause." Oliver said.
"Yeah, and your wedding present to me will be my own costume so that once things settle down at Argus, I can join you in the field." Sara said.
"Agreed." Oliver said, since unlike Laurel, he had no doubt that Sara could take care of herself, being an Argus commando.
"I still think that I'm ready to start getting some field experience." Laurel said.
"Tatsu?" Oliver asked Laurel's teacher.
"While I think that the transfer is too dangerous for Laurel due to how dangerous these criminals are, maybe we can start letting her go out on patrols with one of us and maybe we should allow Mr. Diggle to do the same." Tatsu said and Oliver nodded.
"After the transfer, we'll talk about this more, but you're not ready for this, even if everything goes smoothly and I can guarantee it likely won't." Oliver said.
"It's sad that he's probably right. But anyways, I'll let you know when the transfer is going to happen." Sara said.
"Sara, they picked the right person for the job. I think that I'm going to enjoy working with Argus a lot more this time around, since we'll work for Argus on paper, but in reality, we'll be allies." Oliver said.
"I can live with that. But now I need to go and get this sorted out so Ava and I can finally finish getting everything ready for our wedding." Sara said and Oliver nodded.
