I don't think I've had more fun in my life. The motorcycle ride was so much fun. Christian is so sweet.
After we drove around for a while, going anywhere we could, we made our way back to Christian's house to switch vehicles. From there we took his car to get Olivia from daycare. She was very excited to see Christian. She told him all about her day.
When we had gotten home, Olivia convinced Christian to stay. I wanted him to stay too, but I didn't say anything, just smiled and nodded.
Now, we were all in the living room. I had told Marcie I was with Christian... so she brought the whole gang with her.
Olivia was playing legos with Mark. Zach and Christian were chilling on the couch talking about something.
"Who wants pizza?" I ask. Nobody heard me, but Christian and Marcie did. Christian nudged Zach.
"Who wants pizza?" He said, his rough voice cutting through the chaos.
A chorus of Me's ensued, and I smiled at Christian. He held his arm out, and I think he was beckoning me to come closer. I walk over, and he wraps his arm around my waist pulling me down onto his lap.
"Whoa," I giggle and steady myself from the sudden movement. Zach gives him a special look, and I don't quite understand what it meant, but it looks like the universal look for 'I know what you're up to.'
I grab my phone dialing the number for Callie's. As soon as the phone picked up after three rings, I heard the sounds of people conversing and plates of dishes clattering.
"Hi Callie! I know I'm not working today, but could I order two pizzas?"
"Anything for my girl," she chirped, and I just knew she was smiling ear to ear. Sometimes you can just tell when Callie is in a good mood.
"Thank you, Cal. Do you want me to pick them up?"
"No, honey. I'll deliver them."
"You're the best," I replied, hanging up.
It's then that I realize Chritian is staring at me. I look at him.
"Hi," I smile. I squeak when he grabs my hips and turns, so I'm facing towards him.
Is it hot in here? Did it just go up a few degrees? Am I hallucinating? Oh god, did I die?
He smirks, and I think I melted into a puddle on the floor. God, forgive me.
For a few minutes, we just stare at each other, and then the doorbell rings.
"I'll get it!" I jumped up, almost tripping. His hand reaches out to steady me, but I'm already bolting toward the door.
I open the door and am immediately greeted by Callie hugging me. She's the mother I never got to have. I may have a mother, but she will never be a mom.
I sink into her embrace, almost tearing up. I take a deep breath and pull away.
"Thank you for the pizzas, Cal," I kissed her cheek.
"Of course, honey." she replies.
Just as I reach for the money Marcie is handing me, Callie slaps my hand.
"Absolutely not," she narrowed her eyes at me.
"Come on, Cal!" I insist, quickly grabbing the money and stuffing it in her apron pocket.
"Sugar, I don't want it. You better take it back," She huffs taking it out of her apron. She pushes it in my pocket, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Cal-" I didn't get to finish my sentence because she gave me the quickest hug known to mankind and ran to her car. I huff.
I take the pizzas she left at the door and shut the door.
"Pizzas-" Why can't I ever finish my sentences? They're already grabbing at the boxes.
Mark and Olivia set the box on the floor, one on each side of the pizza box as if guarding it. Thank god Liv is eating. She seems to be having a good time.
"Well, it's a good thing we got two pizzas because it doesn't look like those two are sharing," Marcie comments, obviously amused.
I giggle and walk to Christian. I don't understand why I'm so attached to him, but he... understands me.
He held his arm out, and this time I was prepared when I stepped into his hold and he swept me into his lap.

"I don't want to Phee Phee! Wanna stay up!" Olivia pouts at me from her bed, and I almost give in and pick her up. But I don't.
"You have to sleep, Livvy. Sleep is healthy. Sissy is sleeping soon."
She sighs and drawls, "Okaaaay."
I smile, "Goodnight, Livvy. Tomorrow is Saturday. We'll have ice cream!"
"Ice cream!"
I smile and shut the door, and I'm greeted by Christia cleaning up the paper plates and empty soda cans and water.
"Oh! You don't have to do that!" I quickly ran over, helping him.
"That's okay. I want to. My mom always told me to never leave a mess you caused," he mumbles.
"She sounded very sweet," I give him a soft smile and collect the rest of the trash, being mindful she passed away.
"She was," He says quietly.
I give him a small sad smile.
"I'm sorry," I say softly. He shakes his head.
"It's not your fault like I said in the car a little while ago." He muttered.
"If you ever need to talk, I'm here. I know what it's like to lose a parent," I lay my hand on his arm. It's much smaller compared to his arm.
A look of surprise passes through his eyes before he masks it and nods, "Thank you."
We finished cleaning the trash in a comfortable silence until he found...
"Is that cocaine?" he says, quite alarmed.
Shit. What do I say? "Oh that? Nooo, it's just baby powder..." Yeah okay.
"Umm..." I contemplate what to say. "It's actually sugar. Olivia and I were baking in here because the kitchen counter is just cluttered! I mean it's so messy! Yeah. I forgot to clean it up. Let me just go get a dust pan-"
I rambled so fast I don't think he understood what I was saying. I bolted to grab the dust pan, but he grabbed my wrist pulling me back.
"Ophelia," he grumbled. Shit. I was done.
"Yes?"
"Why do you have cocaine?" he asked seriously, not buying a word of my rambling.
"It's not. It's sugar..."
He sighed.
I tried to slip away, but he held me there.
"Fine. If you won't tell me, I'll point out more. What about the spots on your walls that look eerily like blood? Or the broken glass shards that are in the corners of the room? What about when you faked being sick when you were bruised?"
Fuck me.
