"I OBJECT!!!"

Everyone turned to the entrance of the shrine. Who would dare erupt the ceremony of two royal families? Much less a wedding?

Kunikuzushi turned to look as well. A blonde woman. Short hair, short height and short everything. She's standing there with so much confidence.

He could feel Ajax tensed up at this mysterious woman. So Ajax knows this girl?

The prince turned to the harbinger with a confused look plastered on his face. "Jax... Who is she?"

The prince whispered so only the other could hear. The harbinger furrowed his eyebrows, seemingly annoyed.

Yae raised an eyebrow, her eyes looking down at the girl. "And who are you supposed to be?"

The girl walked down the aisle. Did he mention that the girl was wearing white?

"Forgive me for my intrusion, everyone. I am Lady Lumine from the Starnight clan. I am here to represent my brother, Lord Aether." Lumine introduced herself.

So... This is Lumine.

Kunikuzushi felt threatened by her presence here. His grip on his partner's clothes tightened.

Lumine, the girl he was having a one sided rivalry turned out not to be one sided after all. They both want the same guy.

"I deeply apologize for interrupting the wedding. But me and Ajax are together. We're in love!" Lumine announced.

Kunikuzushi felt his heart drop. Hearing those words hurts him and his tiny heart.

"That was in the past, Lumine. Forget it." Ajax growled at her. Lumine turned to him with hurt in her eyes.

"You promised me, Ajax. You promised that we'll run and ditch this wedding!"

"I didn't promise anything! I didn't even reply to your letters!" Ajax brought Kunikuzushi closer to him.

He can tell Kunikuzushi is getting stressed out by this.

"But you read my letters! So that means you know that I am coming to the wedding! And you didn't say anything about my plan of running away together!"

Kunikuzushi trembled in the other's hold, his eyes starting to water. Ajax read her letters? And didn't tell him...?

Ajax didn't say anything as he gritted his teeth. He glared down at the girl. His anger is rising to the top.

Lumine stretched her hand out for Ajax. And with a smile "It's not too late to run away with me, my love."

That was it. Kunikuzushi separated from the taller one and ran away, sobbing.

"Kuni!" Ajax yelled out to the other, but no response.

The guest watched as the princess ran and ran, leaving the shrine. Ajax cursed himself and moved to run after him.

"Where are you going?!" Lumine asked him, panicked.

"Going to comfort my bride." He said, not bothering to turn and look at the girl before continuing to chase after the prince.

"We should just ditch everyone here! Ajax! Come back!" Lumine yelled for him.

Mei slammed the table, her expression dark as she glared at the girl.

"That is enough. First, you come here with no invitation whatsoever and disrupt this wedding. Second, you have no shame and wore white to someone's wedding."

Her hands turned into fists. "You really are a disrespectful LITTLE RAT!" She stood up from her seat but was stopped by her mother.

"Mei, no. Remember what I taught you. Above all, self control." Ei reminded her. Mei took a deep breath before nodding her head. "Yes mother..."

Mei looked down at her hands that were trembling. 'Ajax... Find my brother.... And make sure he's safe...'

Ajax looked into the cave that he and Kunikuzushi visited a month ago. And there he was, the prince curled up into a ball, sobbing.

"Kuni..." The prince looked up at the voice, his tear falling down his cheek, smearing his make up and his hair messy from the long run.

Ajax walked to the prince and sat down next to him. The other began wiping at his eyes.

"Was it true...? Were you p-planning to... Run away from me...?" He asked in a little voice, stuttering over his hiccups and sobs.

Ajax's heart shattered at the sight of the crying prince. So fragile and delicate like a porcelain doll that would crack if not taken care of properly.

He wrapped an arm around the prince. "No, Kuni. I did not plan to run away. Not then, not now, not ever."

The prince gripped the harbinger's clothes. "T-then.. the letters! You read them!"

"I burned them, honey..."

Kunikuzushi looked at him with widened eyes. He... He did?

Then the memories of the little tea party at the garden came back. Ajax burned a bag. That must've been the letters.

"Oh..." Kunikuzushi sniffled. Ajax brought his hand up and wiped the tears that fell.

"Don't think about her. Don't think about her words. Just... Think about what makes you happy."

Kunikuzushi leaned into the other's warm hands with a soft smile on his face. He looked up at the other.

"You make me happy..."

Ajax stared at the other, stunned. But then a smile bloomed onto his face and he kissed Kunikuzushi's forehead.

"You make me happy too, doll."

Kunikuzushi smiled and leaned into the other for warmth. "Mmh... I love you, Ajax..."

Ajax smiled and caressed the other's hair. Kunikuzushi would have enjoyed the touch, if Ajax had replied back.

"I said, I love you, Ajax" he looked at the other with a glare. Ajax chuckled. "Yeah, I know. I heard you the first time."

This got Kunikuzushi even more upset. "Why aren't you saying it back?" He asked with crossed arms.

Ajax shrugged. "Why not?"

"That's not how it works! You're supposed to say I love you too!" He whines as he gripped the other's collar.

Ajax smirked. "Love you too."

Kunikuzushi was even more upset. "Say it properly!!" He punched the harbinger's chest.

Ajax laughed at how adorable the other was. "Fine, fine. I love you too, Kunikuzushi."

Finally, Kunikuzushi was satisfied. "That's better." He leaned into the other's body. Ajax brought a hand to his chin, making him look up.

"The kiss we didn't get to do at the shrine." He whispered before closing the distance left between them. Kunikuzushi shut his eyes, wrapped his arms around the other's neck and leaned into the kiss.

He could feel his husband's arms wrapping around his waist so gently.

Husband.... It was new. But he finds himself liking Ajax with that title. His husband.
