"And that's how I got here." I say, finishing my story.
"So you're a runaway. Funny, you only see stuff like that in movies," Austin says, obviously unamused.
"Oh please, like you've ever been to a movie," I say, rolling my eyes and crawling into my sleeping bag.
"I have too!" he says defensively.
"Please. The only show you've seen is two rats fighting over some garbage," I say, getting annoyed.
"So, how did you end up here?" I say quickly, trying to change the subject.
"Oh umm......yeah, see I....." Austin tries to say but trails off.
"Hey it's getting late. We can continue this later," I say, laying down and closing my eyes since I know he's uncomfortable.
But just before I drift off to sleep I hear Austin say one thing.
"Thanks."
