The air in the room grew thick as Shivansh stood frozen by the door, his eyes locked on the figure in front of him. Ruhi remained seated on the bed, her heart racing, desperately trying to steady her breath. She knew this moment would come—just not so soon.
Standing in the doorway was Vikram Rajvansh, his presence casting a dark shadow across the room. His gaze flickered to Ruhi, a knowing smirk playing on his lips.
“Ah, Ruhi,” Vikram said smoothly, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation. “You didn’t think you could hide forever, did you?”
Shivansh’s jaw clenched, his fists balling at his sides. “What do you want, Vikram?” His voice was sharp, but beneath it was a ripple of unease. He had never seen Vikram look at Ruhi this way—so calculating, so menacing.
Vikram’s eyes never left Ruhi as he spoke, his tone dripping with mockery. “I’m just here to shed a little light on some things. You see, Shivansh, your sweet Ruhi here… she’s been keeping quite the secret from you.”
Ruhi’s blood ran cold. She had prepared herself for this moment, but facing it head-on made her feel like she was standing on the edge of a cliff. She shot a glance at Shivansh, whose confusion was turning into frustration.
“Vikram, stop,” she said, her voice trembling but firm. “This isn’t your place.”
“Oh, isn’t it?” Vikram sneered, taking a step closer to her. “You may think you’re in control, Ruhi, but you’re not. Everything you’ve built, everything you’ve hidden from Shivansh—it's all going to come crashing down soon. And I’m going to make sure of it.”
Shivansh’s eyes darted between Ruhi and Vikram, anger flaring up inside him. “What the hell are you talking about? What secret?”
Ruhi felt a tear slip down her cheek as her gaze dropped to the floor. The weight of the moment was suffocating. “Shiv, I—I wanted to tell you… but I was scared.”
“Scared of what?” Shivansh’s voice softened, his concern overriding his anger. He took a step toward her, but Vikram’s voice cut through the air like a knife.
“She’s been living a double life, Shivansh. She’s not the innocent girl you think she is. You have no idea what she’s capable of.” Vikram’s words were like poison, each one intended to plant doubt in Shivansh’s mind.
Ruhi’s chest tightened as she met Shivansh’s gaze, her heart breaking at the uncertainty she saw there. She had to speak, had to say something before Vikram twisted the truth beyond recognition.
“Shiv…” Ruhi’s voice wavered, “there’s so much you don’t know. But I never meant to hurt you. Everything I’ve done—it’s for us. You have to believe me.”
Vikram chuckled darkly. “For you? Or for yourself, Ruhi? Don’t pretend this isn’t about control. You’re just as manipulative as the rest of us.”
Shivansh’s fists tightened, but his eyes stayed on Ruhi, searching for answers. “Ruhi, tell me. What is this about?”
Ruhi’s breath hitched, her mind racing. She could feel the walls closing in, Vikram’s words tightening the noose around her carefully constructed life. But she couldn’t let this be the moment it all fell apart. Not like this.
“I can’t…” Ruhi whispered, her voice barely audible. “Not here. Not like this.”
But Vikram was relentless. “Oh, but it’s too late for that, Ruhi. The truth will come out. And when it does, you’ll lose everything—including Shivansh.”
Ruhi’s legs gave way as she collapsed onto the bed, the weight of Vikram’s words crashing down on her. Her worst fear was coming true, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
Shivansh moved to her side, kneeling down, his hand gently cupping her cheek. “Ruhi, I’m here. Whatever it is, we’ll face it together.”
Vikram’s laugh echoed through the room. “We’ll see about that.”
As he turned and walked out, leaving the door wide open, the silence that followed was deafening. Ruhi could barely breathe, her body trembling in Shivansh’s arms. The truth was clawing its way to the surface, and no matter how hard she tried to hold it back, she knew she couldn’t protect Shivansh from it for much longer.
“Shiv…” Ruhi’s voice cracked. “I don’t know if I can do this.”
Shivansh’s eyes darkened with determination as he held her closer. “You’re not doing this alone, Ruhi. Whatever it is, I’ll stand by you. Always.”
But in the back of her mind, Ruhi knew—once the truth was out, there would be no turning back
With Vikram’s sinister words still hanging in the air, Ruhi’s secret is on the verge of being exposed. As Shivansh promises to stand by her, will his love be enough to survive the storm that’s about to hit? Or will the truth tear them apart?
