AUTHOR'S POV:
Siya's heart was heavy as she walked into Aryan's home office that evening. She couldn't hold back any longer; she had to confront him. Her son's distance and strange behavior weighed on her every moment, and the name "Jennifer" seemed to linger in her mind like a dark shadow. She gently knocked on the door before stepping in, catching Aryan's attention."Aryan, can we talk?" Siya's voice was soft but firm.
He looked up, immediately sensing her seriousness. "Of course, Siya. What's going on?"
She took a steadying breath. "I need to talk to you about Jennifer... and Advik."
Aryan frowned, surprised. "Jennifer? What does she have to do with Advik?"
"A lot more than you might think," Siya said, her voice tinged with sadness. "Aryan, I know she's been meeting with him. He told me she gives him things-junk food, toys... things I'd never allow him because of his health."
Aryan's expression shifted, his guilt clear. He ran a hand through his hair. "Siya... I was going to tell you. She's been meeting Advik for a few months now, since... well, since she came back."
Siya's eyes widened. "Six months?" Her voice was barely a whisper.
"Yes," Aryan admitted, looking down. "But Siya, I didn't think it would turn into something serious. She just... she needed help, and I thought it wouldn't harm Advik to know her. I didn't realize she was doing all this behind our backs."
Siya clenched her fists. "Aryan, she's manipulating him! Our son thinks she's a better mother just because she lets him have things I don't. He's only five-he doesn't understand that she's using him."
Aryan sighed, reaching for Siya's hand. "You're right. I didn't think about it that way, Siya, and I'm sorry. I won't let her near him again. I'll make sure she stays out of his life. I... I should've listened to you sooner."
Siya softened, feeling a little relief. "Thank you, Aryan. I just want what's best for Advik."
He nodded, squeezing her hand. Then, after a pause, he looked at her thoughtfully. "You know, Siya... maybe... maybe we should consider having another baby."
Siya blinked, caught off guard. "Another baby? Aryan, why now?"
"Just think about it," Aryan said, his eyes earnest. "A sibling could be good for Advik. He'd have someone to play with, someone to focus on besides Jennifer. And... it might even help you feel happier, give you something to look forward to. I know you've been tense lately."
Siya hesitated, sensing he was trying to distract her, but Aryan continued, giving her a gentle smile. "Plus... I feel lonely, Siya. A little one running around would remind us of our early days together. And with a baby, Advik might forget about Jennifer altogether. Isn't that what you want?"
Siya looked at him, considering his words. He was trying to reassure her, to show her he cared. And maybe, just maybe, another baby would ease her worries. Slowly, she nodded, allowing a small smile to break through her concern.
"Alright, Aryan. If you think it'll help... let's try for another baby," she whispered, a hopeful spark flickering in her heart.

One Month Later
SIYA POV:Siya glanced at Advik as he sat quietly on the living room floor, engrossed in a new toy Aryan had brought home. She wanted to believe things were getting better, that the distance between them would disappear now that Aryan had promised to keep Jennifer away. But despite all their efforts, Advik's behavior hadn't changed. He was still distant, quiet, and seemed to avoid her gaze more often than before.
"Advik, do you want to go to the park with Mommy today?" she asked, trying to sound cheerful.
Advik barely looked up, muttering, "No, thank you."
Siya's heart clenched, but she forced herself to smile. "Okay, maybe tomorrow, then."
She kept telling herself that Aryan was right-that this was just a phase, just a small stage in Advik's young life. Children were influenced easily, after all. But she couldn't shake the feeling that something deeper was wrong.
Later that night, when Aryan came home, Siya tried to bring it up casually, not wanting to sound too worried. "Aryan... don't you think Advik is still acting a bit... distant?"
Aryan, loosening his tie, looked at her with a reassuring smile. "Siya, he's just a kid. Sometimes kids go through phases. Maybe he's just getting used to things. You know, kids are like that."
She nodded, but the unease lingered. Her instincts told her something was off, yet she reminded herself of Aryan's promise. He said Jennifer was out of their lives now, and she had to trust him. Aryan had been so convincing, after all, so confident that things would soon return to normal.
But in her heart, Siya couldn't shake the image of Advik's quiet stare, the way he seemed to be carrying a secret he couldn't share.
