ARYAN POV:
This past week had been an exercise in patience. Every time I looked around, there was Jennifer—lost in her phone, oblivious to Advik’s needs. Today was no exception. I watched her as we sat for breakfast, engrossed in whatever was on her screen while Advik sat silently, picking at his food. Enough was enough.
“Jennifer,” I started, keeping my tone steady, “how are you feeling today?”
She looked up, surprised, and then shrugged. “Fine, Aryan. I was thinking of going shopping this afternoon… after I pick up cody, of course.”
I felt a surge of frustration. She really didn’t get it. “Are you forgetting something, Jennifer?” I asked, trying to keep calm.
Her expression turned defensive. “No, Aryan, I’m not.”
I couldn’t hold back any longer. “Jennifer, you have responsibilities. Do you realize that every day you take Cody everywhere, leaving Advik behind? You’ve started neglecting him—and he notices. Even today, the breakfast you told the chef to make is Cody’s favorite, not Advik’s. Have you ever considered how that makes him feel?”
She rolled her eyes, clearly irritated. “And do you ever think about Cody? He needs a father too. You’re always focused on Advik.”
I felt my patience slip. “I care for both of them, Jennifer. It’s you who’s ignoring Advik. And if you keep doing this, don’t expect me to stay quiet about it. You’re living this life because of me, so start paying attention. From today on, you’re not leaving this house without my permission. The driver will pick up Cody he’s old enough not to need constant attention at Advik’s expense.”
Her face went pale, and I knew my words had hit home. With that, I left, taking Advik to school, hoping she’d think seriously about what I’d said.

RAJVEER POV:
I had spent the past week in a whirlwind of careful planning and anticipation. Today was finally the day I would tell Siya how I felt. My parents had graciously agreed to take Raha for the night, giving Siya and me some rare time alone. Raha, as perceptive as ever, had asked why her mother wouldn’t be joining, and I managed to convince her it was a special surprise. She promised to keep it secret, though not without a lot of curious questions.
It had been a long time since I felt this nervous. Not even taking over as CEO of the business had made me feel this way. But Siya was different—she had this quiet strength and warmth that had grown to mean everything to me. I’d spent the last few days watching her, noticing her subtle smiles and how deeply she connected with Raha. It made me realize how much I wanted her in my life.
Today, I’d kept Siya close, setting up extra tasks in my office to keep her occupied and away from the preparations at home. At lunch, we sat together as usual, but I noticed how her attention sometimes wandered to Shiv, one of my employees. Shiv had clearly taken an interest in her, and it made me all the more certain that I needed to speak up before someone else did.
By late afternoon, everything was ready. My assistant confirmed Siya would finish soon, so I left to pick up Raha and drop her off with my parents. When I arrived home, I found the terrace decorated exactly as I’d imagined it soft lights, flowers, and a table set with Siya’s favorite dishes. I’d learned her preferences from conversations with Raha and had even prepared the meal myself. Tonight had to be perfect.
Now, all that was left was to wait for Siya.

SIYA POV:
The day felt strange from the beginning. Rajveer’s behavior over the past week had been different he was unusually attentive, always nearby, especially when Shiv from the office came by to chat. It seemed every time I turned around, there Rajveer was, ready with some work-related excuse to bring me back to his office.
But my own feelings were just as confusing. I’d started noticing small things the way Rajveer’s smile made my heart race, the warmth in his voice when he talked about Raha, and the kindness in his gaze when he looked at me. The realization made me nervous, and today, I tried to focus solely on my work to distract myself from those feelings.
As evening came, Rajveer asked if I could stay back to complete a few last tasks. He mentioned he’d be stepping out briefly, pick raha up and I agreed, a little reluctantly. After finishing up, his assistant told me I could head out, so I gathered my things and left, still feeling a bit unsettled.
When I arrived at Rajveer’s house, it was unusually quiet. I walked in and noticed the soft glow of lights coming from the terrace. Curiosity got the best of me, and I made my way up. As I stepped onto the terrace, I froze.
The scene in front of me was breathtaking. Delicate lights hung around the space, casting a warm glow over a beautifully arranged table. Flowers were scattered along the edges, and the aroma of my favorite dishes filled the air. Rajveer stood by the table, waiting for me, looking just as nervous as I felt.
My heart was pounding, but this time, I didn’t want it to stop. Whatever tonight held, I was ready for it.
