SIYA POV :

I spent the entire day thinking about Advik. His words last night had cut deep, yet I convinced myself he was just a child, too innocent to understand the weight of what he'd said. Aryan had assured me that Advik's behavior was just a phase, something he would outgrow. But I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, and I wanted so badly to reconnect with my son.

So, I decided to surprise him. I'd pick him up from school today instead of letting Aryan handle it like usual. Maybe he'd be excited to see me, and we could go to the park, have ice cream, and spend some quality time together. I dressed nicely, even though it felt silly. I wanted him to feel proud of his mom, to see me as someone he could look up to, someone he could love.

I arrived at the school a little early, heart fluttering with nervous excitement. But as I made my way to his classroom, I saw a figure I wasn't expecting. Jennifer. She walked confidently through the school hallways, as if she belonged there. My heart sank, confusion and anger bubbling up inside me. Why was she here? Aryan had promised she wouldn't be involved in Advik's life anymore.

I followed her, keeping my distance, hoping this was just some misunderstanding. But when we reached Advik's classroom, I heard the teacher call out, "Mrs. Chaudhari, here to pick up Advik?" My stomach twisted.

Jennifer stepped forward, smiling as if she owned the title.

"No...this can't be," I whispered, but I could barely hear my own voice over the pounding of my heart.

Advik appeared in the doorway, holding his teacher's hand. His eyes landed on me for a moment, but he looked away, his gaze cold and dismissive.

I took a step forward, my voice trembling. "Advik, sweetheart, Mommy's here to take you home."

Advik looked at me with a blank expression and then turned to his teacher. "That's not my mommy. My mommy is Jennifer."

I stood there, stunned, as Jennifer smirked, a look of victory in her eyes. I felt the blood drain from my face. My own son had just disowned me in front of everyone. He chose her over me, and Jennifer's smug smile made the moment all the more excruciating.

One of the teachers gave me a sharp look. "Excuse me, ma'am, you'll have to step back."

"I...I'm Advik's mother," I managed, my voice barely a whisper. "I'm Siya Chaudhari."

Advik shook his head, clinging to Jennifer's hand. "No, you're not my mommy."

It felt like the world stopped. The teachers, the children passing by, even Jennifer-it all became a blur, except for the pain in my chest. Tears burned in my eyes, but I couldn't let them fall here, in front of everyone. I couldn't let Jennifer see me break.

"Advik..." My voice cracked as I reached out to him, but he turned away, letting Jennifer lead him down the hall. He didn't even look back.

"Sorry, I... I must've mistaken the class," I stammered to the teachers, forcing a smile that felt as brittle as glass. "I was supposed to pick up... someone else."

The teachers relaxed, nodding slowly, but I could still feel their skeptical eyes on me as I walked away. As soon as I was out of the building, I let out a shaky breath, my entire body trembling. I had never felt so humiliated, so heartbroken. How could this have happened? Jennifer had not only taken my son's affection but had made everyone around believe she was his mother.

I walked to my car in a daze, replaying every interaction, every word Aryan had said to assure me this was just a phase. But it wasn't just a phase, was it? Jennifer had been poisoning my son's mind for months, and Aryan had been covering it up. He'd lied to me, letting her slowly steal our son away from me.

The realization hit me like a wave. My hands gripped the steering wheel as anger replaced my heartbreak. I couldn't let this continue. Aryan had betrayed my trust, and it was time he faced the consequences. This wasn't just about Jennifer manipulating Advik-this was about the lies and deceit that had been going on under my nose.

With renewed determination, I started the car and drove straight to Aryan's office. He had a lot of explaining to do, and I wasn't going to leave until I had every answer.
