Tour??

"Okay, 30 minutes, you can do this Kehlani, just act professional". I tried to motivate myself as I moved towards the ceo's office, during my time in my office I studied our new ceo's file, his name was Kai McKenzie, that McKenzie name really rings a bell I just can't remember as to where I heard that name. Well enough talk about Mr. McKenzie I need to focus so that I don't mess up. I knocked on his office door rather swiftly as I waited for him to usher me in. He lifted his eyes from the document he was looking at, stared at me for a few seconds and continued looking inside the document, talk about*attitude* well I ushered myself in, put on my best professional smile and said "Mr. McKenzie I believe we have a tour at exactly 9:00am and according to my time we have only three minutes left are you still ready for the tour sir?". He got up from his seat, straightened his suit and walked elegantly towards me. "Lead the way" he said and I turned around as I walked out of his office feeling glad we were both on the same chapter about remaining professional. I did what I did best, talked, explained, walked, blah blah blah. " This is the marketing department and Mr. Chu is the head" Mr. Chu gave a slight bow and so did the employees, well Mr. McKenzie just gave a curt nod and continued walking. "And lastly this is my office, right next to yours" I said with a smile, glad that I was already done with this. " Why does my assistant have an office other than a normal cubicle just like the other employees?" He said with an eyebrow raised. "As*hole" I cussed under my breath before replying. " Well chairman McKenzie suggested that I get an office much closer to his since I am his assistant " I deliberately strained the assistant part. " So that I can be close enough when he needs me". Mr. McKenzie gave another nod and started walking straight to his office as I tailed behind only a step back. " I have some files for you" he said as he entered his office. "Do make sure that everything is good and that they are arranged in order, they are important files from one of our biggest clients and I would hate for anything to go wrong " he handed me a stack of documents which were much heavier than I expected. "Of course sir" I said trying to carry the documents to my office. "And oh we will need these files early tomorrow, we have a meeting with Mr. Haizel". "Of course sir "I said once again. I'm supposed to finish these by tonight and they look like they could take a week or two. I dropped the documents on my table with a heavy thud , sat down and got to work and as if this man was really trying to punish me he called me to his office every ten minutes, if it wasn't his coffee, it was his lunch if it wasn't that, it was about something so.... sorry to say stupid, as setting a meeting with the board members in two weeks time my gosh! That could be done at any other time. Thankfully the requests seized and I was able to focus on my work and by the time I completed, i checked my phone only to find out it was 10pm. f*cking great, everyone had left the office and I was surprised Claire didn't come and say goodbye or maybe she did but I was too focused on this stack of bullsh*t in front of me. The only light left on at that moment apart from mine was the ceo's office. "F*cking great" I murmured under my breath as I packed my stuff to leave, the very moment I closed my door shut I heard the CEO close his as well. As if we were mysteriously linked to each other, we both turned around at the exact same time. We stared at each other for a while and started walking straight towards the elevator doors, there was an elevator door on the left for employees and on the right was for the CEO. Just as I was about to hit the button to my elevator he spoke "Are you going to get in or you want me to pull you in" "but sir that elevator is only for the boss" I said as a matter of fact. " You have 10 seconds to decide" I was at a loss for words was he always this demanding or what, I just stared at him at if he was speaking an undiscovered language, and just like that he took large strides towards me, grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his elevator, without letting go of my wrist he pressed the button and the doors closed at it descended to the ground floor. "You can let go of my wrist now" I said waiting for him to actually let go of it "But what if I don't sweetheart?" He said and a cool voice. Was this man for real right now, and did he just call me sweetheart. "Umm...sir might I remind you that according to the company's policy we are supposed to refer to each other by our last names" I said as I pulled my eyes away from his very distracting ones. "Well what if I want you to call me by my first name or would you prefer moaning it instead" he said his eyes boring holes into my head as I stared right at the elevator doors wondering as to how we got to this.
