I happened??

*Xavier's POV*
Before I could utter the words "what did you say" Kehlani went limp in my arms. F*ck! F*ck! F*ckkkkk!, I carried an unconscious Kehlani to her apartment, I knocked rapidly waiting for someone to open the door, I knew she lived with her best friend china, I had done some thorough investigation about her before I came out as CEO. China opened the door finally with an angry face.
"You have some.......oh my god! Lani!" She exclaimed.
"What the hell happened to her?" she asked
"I'm going to explain everything if you give me a chance to lay her down" I said with a rush.
"Sure come in" china said whiles paving way for us.
I hurriedly walked in and lay her on the sofa.
"She almost got hit by a car in front of your apartment and I think she passed out due to shock". I carefully  avoided the part where she called me Xavier. I run a hand through my hair feeling so frustrated with myself. China sat by Kehlani and started checking her pulse, I think she was a nurse or something.
"She's alright, it must indeed be shock or maybe she just hasn't eaten?" She said.
"She has eaten, we went out for dinner" I said through my frustration.
China turned to look at me as if she was analyzing me at the moment.
"Gosh women!" I murmured under my breath.
China walked to the small kitchen and came back with a glass of water, she sprinkled some on Kehlani's face and she made a few movements before finally opening her eyes. "Thank God!" I mumbled feeling so relieved that she was finally awake, it felt as if I'd been holding my breath for far too long and my insides were suddenly relieved that I had taken in some air. The first person Kehlani's eyes collided with was mine, she looked at me and then stared at her exposed thighs then back at me again. This went on for a few seconds before she finally pulled down her skirt which must have ridden up when I carried her. This woman was real funny and to think that my mind wasn't even there, I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Gosh Lani! How many times do I have to tell you to look at both sides of the road before crossing, you're not a child". China scolded her.
"Sorry china, I got a bit distracted....." Kehlani said, before she could finish she let out a sound of pain, as if someone was blurring loud music and it was hurting her ears. Within a matter of seconds I was by her side, holding unto her hands in which she was using to support her head.
"Are you okay sweetheart?" I asked in a concerned voice.
She raised her head and stared into my eyes for a few seconds before she murmured, "I'm fine it's just a headache" with a small smile.
China looked between the two of us as if trying to figure out what was going on. I needed to get some alone time with her, so that I can ask why she called me Xavier, and if she remembered anything.
"It's late, you should be heading home" Kehlani said with a small voice. I just nodded my head seeing that my business was done here.
"I'll walk you to the door" Kehlani said.
"No way! You just woke up and you already wanna start walking" china said with a stern voice.
"China, I passed out, I didn't have a goddamn surgery relax okay and I'm just walking him to the door, I won't even cross the road" Kehlani said as she tried to convince her.
"Fine!" China replied with a huff.
I helped Kehlani out of the sofa unto her feet and we walked side by side to the door in complete silence. When we finally got out of the apartment I turned to face her.
"Thank you very much, for carrying me into the apartment and for making sure I was okay until you left" Kehlani said.
"But what makes you think I carried you?" I asked with a playful smile.
"I'm very sure you didn't drag me Mr. McKenzie" she said with a small laugh. And once again I couldn't help but wonder as to how someone could look a thousand times more beautiful with just a smile.
"And what about me staying here to make sure you were fine, what if I wanted to actually steal something from you?" I asked again.
"Well what I own cannot be compared to yours so there's no need for you to steal" she said as a matter of fact.
"Oh but my dear you own far more than you think you do and even if I had a chance to steal it I wouldn't even dream about it because I gave it to you willing and I'm not taking it back " I said whiles staring deeply into her eyes.
"And what's that?" She asked, her voice was so small that I'm not sure I would have heard if I wasn't standing mere inches away from her.
I took a few steps closer, towering over her, then I grabbed her small face and kissed her forehead. Believe me when I say I wanted to do more than kiss her forehead, I wanted to worship her whole body with kisses until she begged me to stop and even then.....I wouldn't.
"My soul". I finally answered her and took a step back before things went haywire.
"Goodnight sweetheart" I said and she mumbled goodnight absentmindedly. Then I turned around to leave.
Some people sold their soul to the devil to earn riches and fame, well I gave mine to Kehlani smith without her even begging for it and I was not going to rest until she loved every single piece of me.......every single piece of my broken soul. I sat in my Maybach and finally drove off with Kehlani still standing at her door post wondering what the f*ck just happened. Well baby girl "I" happened.
