"how was work?" gio asked her best friend who had just walked in her house and dramatically fell on the couch "work was work" brooklyn mumbled "mm, sounds like you had a long day" gio laughed.

"i wouldn't necessarily say that but lowkey" brooklyn said "lowkey or high key?" gio asked as she walked over to the kitchen and turned the stove on to light her blunt since she lost her lighter and forgot to replace it.

"lowkey" brooklyn repeated "fair enough" gio shrugged "watchu been doing all day?" brooklyn asked as she looked over at the girl who was walking towards her with a cold water bottle in her hand.

"listen to yanni bitch" gio said, rolling her eyes at the thought of her girlfriend cursing her out earlier after seeing conversations with other girls "she always mad about something, watchu do now?" brooklyn laughed.

"mmcht, whole time i didn't even do anything—" she paused to exhale the smoke "she got mad cause she went through my phone while i was sleep and seen me texting my mutual about new york fashion week" gio said, scoffing at the thought.

"who's the mutual?" brooklyn asked after grabbing the blunt from gio "monae, met her through asadi which is her twin brother" gio said and brooklyn started choking on the smoke.

"you good?" gio questioned as she patted the girls back "let me see her" brooklyn said and gio gave her a twisted look before pulling her phone out and going to the girls page.

after pulling up monae's page she then handed her phone to brooklyn, allowing her to absentmindedly scroll "yup, that's her" brooklyn nodded as she pursed her lips, giving gio her phone back.

"you know her?" gio asked "no but she's one of fam's friends and she's always in the shop" brooklyn announced "what does she do?" gio asked, referring to her duty in the shop.

"nothing"
