here the duo was, walking around an empty park that had little to no people since everyone decided to go out of town and spend their tax money.

brooklyn had a lot on her mind, monae being the core of it all. she didn't know what to think about last night nor did she know how to process everything such as the way monae was speaking to her which she felt was so out of character, to her mentioning how she could've messed with gio.

it troubled her to the max and she just couldn't understand why, why did she have to make such stupid decisions knowing monae is who she wants. she didn't know how to stop pushing away her blessings.

"you seem to be deep in thought, care to talk about it?" gio spoke, causing brooklyn to sigh "not right now, gio." brooklyn replied, looking around, her eyes watching as the elderly couple walked around together.

"if you think i'm going to actually mess around with monae then to clear up some of your worries, i'm not. that would make me a terrible best friend and i'm pretty sure you would murder me." gio said with small laughter, stopping once she noticed that brooklyn didn't react.

"i know you wouldn't do something like that, that's not what i'm concerned about" brooklyn replied, placing her hands into her jacket pockets "so what're you concerned about and why?" gio asked.

"a lot. i just can't seem to figure out why i keep pushing my blessings away and fucking up with monae every time, she's probably done this time" brooklyn said as she looked down at the trail ahead of them.

"um..i agree, she probably is done and she most likely will find someone else so don't get mad, you will look like the loser you once were back in grade school" gio said, patting brooklyn's shoulder with a slight grin before jogging ahead of her.

"don't think too hard about it or you'll get a tumor!"
