it was currently day four in new york and there wasn't a show today, once again, so monae was bored out of her mind and didn't know what she wanted to do cause being in the house wasn't an option.
she grabbed her ipad and started doing some research on new york and fun places to go but was interrupted when she felt her phone vibrate once before vibrating again, and again.
monae grabbed her phone and flipped it over, her eyes widening once she seen that it was brooklyn facetiming her but she quickly answered before grabbing a pillow and propping her phone up.
when the call connected monae was met with brooklyn who was standing in a bathroom while fixing her hair in the mirror, she wore some blue sweatpants and a sports bra.
"hey brookie" monae greeted since brooklyn hadn't realized that she answered which made her look at the phone "hey gorgeous" brooklyn said and monae turned her head in the opposite direction, hiding her smile.
"i need your help with something" brooklyn said and monae raised an eyebrow "what is it?" monae asked "dying my hair" brooklyn said and monae nodded "oh yea, i know how to do that" she said and brooklyn grinned.
"that's nice to hear, would've been mad if i sent an uber over there for nothin" brooklyn said and monae laughed before stopping to look at her "you did what?" monae questioned with a mug.
"paid for an uber and sent her your way, so go get ready i'll see you in about thirty minutes" brooklyn said before quickly hanging up, not wanting to go back and forth with the girl who hated people paying for her things.
"she stresses me out"

"thank you, have a nice day" monae said to the middle aged lady who so happened to be her uber driver "you too, sweetie" she said and monae sent her one last wave before shutting the door.
monae took one last breath before walking up to the two story airbnb and knocking on the door, she waited like three seconds before the door was swung open by brooklyn.
"hey" brooklyn grinned "no, now move" monae said, pushing past the girl before stepping foot into the house "what i do?" brooklyn questioned with a smirk "you know what you did" monae said, rolling her eyes.
"but i don't so fill me in, mama" brooklyn said as she locked the door, she was loving the irritated side of monae, she thought it was sexy "you know i don't like people paying for me so why would you do it?" monae questioned with her arms crossed and brooklyn bit down on her bottom lip while looking down at the girl.
