Chapter 5 The Dream Part One

"Dad!" I screamed, it was all happening in slow motion. The car, my dad, the blood, and screams, I saw it all, but I couldn't do anything as the car swerved into our lane. Hitting us and sending my dad flying into the window. I heard screams release my rigged jaw, then the blood it was starting to cover my dad's pain stricken face. "Dad, Please don't leave me, Hold in there the ambulance is on the way!" I screamed, when it all went black. My eyes snapped open, I was shaking and crying in my bed with now felt like a jail cell. Every time I shut my eyes I was greeted with, the dream, the one were my dad died, but it all ended right before it was truly over. Every time I was greeted with darkness and the dream as I know referred to it, but it was getting more and more vivid and real with each sleep. I rolled over and looked at the clock 4:30am "URG..." I grounded. There was so use going back to bed since I knew that dream was just waiting for me. I quickly

rolled out of bed; well I guess I'll get an early start on my training. I thought to myself as I walk to the bathroom, after a quick shower and a little mascara and eye liner, I changed into my running gear. A purple sports bra and my black running shorts, when with the corner of my eye I saw a bag stuffed into the bottom of my suitcase I pulled it out there was a note attached to it

"I noticed you were looking at these at the mall, dad thought they'd bring you good luck." ~Zac

I read out loud as I pulled out the new blue Nikkie runners, I smiled to myself as I grabbed them and ran down stairs. After scribbling down a quick note saying I'd be back late and not to wait up I ran out the door.

When I reached the beach I retied my shoes and started to run I fell into my rhythm perfectly, there was a slight breeze that felt nice against my still hot shoulders. I was admiring the sun that was starting to rise when I felt my body collide into what felt like a brick wall, I braced myself for the fall. The sand felt tough against my bare arms my head hit the ground sending a shock wave throughout my body as well as knocking my hat off my head. I tried to stand up, but felt nausea rush over me. I was ready to give the person hell for running into me and not paying attention. When I was an arm wave in front of my face, I quickly grabbed it and felt the strong arm pull me to my feet. I took a moment recollecting myself and regaining my vision. I had started to brush of the sand when I heard a voice

"Jay, Jay is that you?" snapped my vision upward sending pain through my head. Justin, I quickly took off running on pure instinct ignore the calls from behind me and the pain in my head that was now throbbing. Why, why did it have to be Justin? I questioned to no one special. When I knew I lost him I slowed to a walk and stopped at a tree slid down it and began to cry, memories of Justin flooding already cluttered mind.
