Mia returned home with Roger but at no point was she happy about it. He allowed her to go home and rest and see her mother but she wasn't even there at the time. Then Reece and Autumn came over.

As excited they were to see Mia they did not expect what they found that day. Mia remembered Roger's words and painted a smile on for her friends. But the pain became unbearable. And there was nothing she could do.

As the days turn into weeks Mia continues to fight the demons in her head. But no doubtably it got harder everyday.

Weeks became months and Mia was now eighteen years old. Everyday was still a struggle, but she had managed to pull herself together. Of course that was until it became July once more. The month everything went down.

Her daughter would be turning one soon, and it's all Mia could think about. What she was like and how did she look. Whether she slept at night and if she was learning to crawl and babbling.

Mia and Reece's relationship took a fall at the time of Mia's return. She drifted from her entire past life. But now they were making amends and getting closer. Autumn was now fifteen years old, she had grown a lot since the young girl Mia remembered before everything went to hell.

Mia had been thinking of her daughter at every moment over the past year and now that she was an adult, she needed to make amends. She needed to make things right or at least get some sort of closure. This was never what she wanted. But was it too late?

While Mia's mind was caught up in her unknown child, Autumn's was focused on the most popular boy at school. Little did she know her secrets would not stay secret from her father.

...

After days of long hard thought and arguments with herself, Mia knocked on the door.
"Amelia" the man greeted her as she walked into the office. "What can I do for you"

"I made a mistake last year. I shouldn't have let you convince me to keep it a secret or do what I did" she began, "I want my daughter back" Roger knew that this would create amounts of drama within his children and Mia. And he couldn't have that just yet. He had been forming up his own plan for the three.

See, Roger saw the special bond his children held, and he knew one day they would be brilliant together. He couldn't quite have that. He needed to keep his children at bay and to do that, he needed Mia.

"Amelia. You know if you do this Reece will hate you. You hid his own child from him. He'll never forgive you" Mia had thoughts about that too.
"I'm going to explain everything to him. He'll understand"
"My son is a good young man. Passionate. But this will destroy him. Is that what you want?"
"If I get her back he will understand. I know him better than anyone else"

Roger thought for a moment. He needed Mia. This is his way in. The girl practically gave herself over to be used like his puppet.

"Fine. I'll give you the information I have. But first, you'll do something for me"
"Anything" if only she knew 'anything' could really be anything.

Roger had given her a note to put in Autumn's locker. She had no idea why or what the letter contained. But she did it anyway. He also payed for her expenses in exchange for her secrecy.

...

A week had passed and Mia was getting frustrated. She turned to Roger once more to get the information she craved.

"I'm going to tell Reece everything"
"No you won't"
"And why not?" She challenged,
"Because my daughter is just so excited to be going to her prom tonight, do you really want to ruin today for her?" Mia did know how excited Autumn was. She had been asked out by the most popular boy in school.

"Oh wait, you already have"
"What do you mean?"
"You remember that note you gave Autumn, don't you? I wonder what she'll think when she finds out this boy was all just a prank by you" Mia couldn't believe it. What had she done?

"No"
"Oh yes. Of course nobody has to know it was you, Amelia"
"No! No I won't do anything else for you! You sick bastard"
"Watch your tone with me" the man grabbed her wrist tightly "all you have to do is tell my son you're concerned about Kenny Killerman"
"Kyle killerman's brother?"
"I don't think Reece would appreciate an older man taking Autumn to her prom, don't you?" Mia was so confused. What was his game? To get Reece in trouble and Autumn hurt?

"Fine"

...

Prom night played out just as Roger had planned. Reece had returned home after his 'encounter' with Kenny Killerman. Autumn opened the door to her brother stood with a bouquet of dead flowers planted by Roger. And Mia watched it all from the sidelines.

How Autumn just stood silenced in her dress. How the tears in her eyes threatened to fall and how Reece called her once she had run off. She watched Reece's heart shatter as he heard the slam of Autumn's bedroom door and he dropped the flowers. That was Mia's cue.

Mia came from behind the wall as she comforted her boyfriend. She managed to convince him that maybe a prank would be better that the truth to a teenage girl. To save her from that trauma. But was anything worse than loosing her only family?

Mia had to watch as Reece and Autumn were being dragged apart from each other and she hated it. All she wanted was to come clean about the whole things. However Roger's words stuck in her mind.

He made sure she knew they would both hate her for this as well as finding out she kept a baby away from them.
"You will loose Reece and Autumn forever. Just like you lost your baby"

"I've already lost them! I'm not aloud to talk to Autumn and she's shut herself away from the whole world. I love Reece but our entire relationship is build on lies and betrayal. I've already lost them Roger. All I want is my daughter. Just to know where she is at least, please. She's all I have"
"She's dead"

And suddenly the world stopped. The surroundings blurred into one and everything went silent as the man said those last words.

No. No no no she, she, no...

"You have nothing left Amelia. Other than me. You will never get rid of me. And you will do what I tell you to. You don't have a choice"
"I'm not doing anything for you! You lied to me you told me you knew where she is!"
"I believe her parents had her cremated. That's where she is"

Mia shook her head and she stepped back. Her lungs began to feel like bricks and her vision blurred with tears.
"She's gone Amelia. You've lost Autumn. You're loosing Reece day by day. You've lose your daughter. What do you have now? Except your father but he's not here is he?"
"What do you know about my father?"
"I know where he is. His address, his work, his number plate on his car"
"You're lying"
"I'm a very rich and very resourceful man Amelia. Of course I know where he is. Along with my ex wife. And I'll promise you this, Amelia, I'll give you everything you ever wanted to know about your father since you were a child. And all you have to do is keep my children in tact"
