I will meet you at the graveyard

Where you lay down, where you stay now

Faced up, cold heart, no longer by my side now

Wish we were together now, I don't know when I'll see you

Helena knows from the moment she opens her eyes what had happened.

She had thought about this moment a lot.

What her death would be like, how it would feel, how it would happen.

She had wondered, when she was alive, if she should have fought harder against it or if she would have just accepted it and let Thanatos claim her soul. In the end, it had been a bit of both.

"Helena Colette," a voice spoke from behind her.

She turned her eyes away from the rocky obsidian view in front of her and looked at the person.

"Lord Hades," she replies with a slight bow.

He raises a brow. "At least you have more manners than your partner."

Helena hums, turning back to the view in front of her. She wondered how long it had taken the calcites hanging from the cavern's roof to form and how much longer it had taken for them to glow the way they did, providing the Underworld with its only source of natural light.

"You seem..." the god of the dead trailed off. "Almost content with what has happened. People are usually more whiny about their deaths. "

"I suppose they would be," Helena frowns. "But death in war is inevitable. I think it helped that I knew this was coming."

The King of the Underworld nodded. "You knew of your death?"

"I dreamt of it. It just took me a while to piece it together."

"Ah, Hypnos," Hades clicked his tongue. "Always meddling and doing things to earn the favours of the fates. My son..."

Helena turned back to him. "Are they okay? Nico and Ethan? I didn't see them before I -"

"Walk with me," Hades said, cutting her off. The god started walking ahead before stopping and gesturing for her to follow him. "Come along now."

She walks quickly and falls into step next to him. She marvels at the realm of the dead.

"It's beautiful down here."

"Not many have that view." Hades glances at her. "In fact, most find my realm dreary."

She frowns. "I suppose I can understand that, but everyone views things differently."

The god makes his way through the Underworld, and the spirits make a pathway for him without him even saying anything.

"Lord Hades?"

"Speak freely, child."

"You never did tell me if Nico and Ethan are okay."

Hades pauses in front of two giant white gates. "You care for my son greatly?"

"Yes, my lord."

"I see." The god of the underworld nods. "They are unscathed physically, but I cannot speak for their emotions."

Helena frowns. "Are- are they very sad?"
