Lucy had a long boring day at work. Usually she had rob to brighten up her day but he wasn't with her the whole day. She texted him and he didn't reply her. After shift lucy took her things and signed out. She took the elevator down and went out of the building. She started heading to her car when she was stopped by rob.
Rob: lucy!
Lucy: (turns around) hey rob, h...how was your shift?
Rob: boring, I missed you
Lucy: me more
Rob: look im sorry about earlier, I knew you liked the guy but I didn't think he liked you back
Lucy: its okay
Rob: no its not! I was angry that he could date you without even trying and I didn't even think about your happiness, im sorry
Lucy: oh rob, its fine, we're good though right
Rob: I cant live without you
Lucy: and he is back!
Rob: yeah, well have fun on your date, I hope it goes well
Lucy: thanks Robbie, goodnight, ill see you tomorrow
Rob: love you!
Lucy: love you too
Rob: I mean it
Lucy: rob!
Rob: im sorry (laughs) bye!

Lucy became happy again knowing that she made up with her bestfriend. She was finally in the mood for the date even though she almost canceled.
Lucy went back home and made food for kojo. Soon after he was done eating she took him out for a walk and came back and took a shower and started getting ready for her date. Lucy went through her closet and couldn't find something date like to wear. Knowing james, she knew he would take her somewhere fancy. She finally found a black and white laced dress and paired it with some white red bottom heels and some expensive jewelry. She sat in her living room waiting for him. When he pulled up to her drive way, she got up and went to check. She opened the door and when he got down she couldn't help but notice what he was wearing.
He wore a black jacket with black pants and a blue shirt underneath.
James: you look gorgeous
Lucy: thanks but is there a theme at the restaurant?
James: restaurant? Oh I was hoping to take you to a bar
Lucy: a bar?
James: unless you wouldn't like it there
Lucy: should've told me where we were going, I would have worn something better
James: nothing can top what you are wearing
Lucy: I cant wear this to a bar james
James: tell you what, why don't we go to that new fancy restaurant, huh?
Lucy: you cant go in like that though, the restaurant is by invitation only. you know what, ill just throw on a jacket and reduce the jewelry
James: oh, okay

Lucy went back in and huffed and stormed into her room. She thought he was taking her somewhere fancy but A BAR!?
She went back to her closet and took out some jeans, a shirt and a jacket and headed out.
James opened the door for her and she got into his car.

Lucy was trying so hard to stay positive but it wasn't working. She was angry but happy she is going out with someone after a long time.

When they got to the bar, they both went in. the bar wasn't packed which was very convenient for lucy. They sat down and james ordered them some drinks.

Lucy ended up having a good night. James had one too many and lucy wanted to get him coffee to reduce the drunkenness. She went over to the bartender and ordered one and sat down waiting.
As she was waiting, a drunk man came to lucy and began to disturb her. He asked for her number and she told him she had a boyfriend and he still insisted. He was about to get handsy when a guy punched him from behind and he fell. He knelt down and cuffed him and told someone to take him away. He stood up and looked at lucy and lucy looked at him. They stared at each other for a bit until lucy could finally get the words to come out of her mouth.
Lucy: th..thank you
Random guy: youre welcome

Lucy took her coffee and went over to james and gave him to drink. After a while he started coming back into his senses and lucy took him to her place.

They started making out then lucy stooped him.
Lucy: wait
James: what? Is there a problem? Is it me?
Lucy: no, its everything, this date, you being drunk
James: im sober, mostly
Lucy: you aren't who I thought you were james
James: no wait, give me another chance
Lucy: maybe next time, you can sleep in my guest room, by tomorrow you will be sober enough to drive yourself home or to work

Lucy walked into her room and handed him the keys and showed him the way to the room and went back into hers. She stood by the door and started questioning if the universe doesn't want her to ever date. She couldn't help but think of the guy who saved her and how she couldn't ask for his name or number because she was on a date. She changed into her PJs and went to bed.
