3 months later.

lucy hasn't seen or heard from tim. she couldn't stop thinking about him for some reason. She didn't know how to contact him and also didn't want to go to the station and look for him. Which station does he even work in? she asked herself series of questions and then came up with an idea to not make it weird. She asked grace to assign her to any police station to work on special cases with them. Grace was on board because she thought lucy wanted to help out, she did but it was mostly because she wanted to work with tim.

she was unfortunately assigned to the Hollywood division. she introduced herself in the bullpen and was looking around to see if she could spot angela or tim. after the assignment of duties, lucy went to speak with the sergent in his office.

Lucy: all these police officers for this case?
Sergent: the more the better
Lucy: okay, and these detectives, are they your best?
Sergent: the best
Lucy: I don't see detective angela lopez here
Sergent: who?
Lucy: angela lopez
Sergent: ill have you know we don't have an angela lopez here
Lucy: oh
Sergent: do you know her?
Lucy: yeah we met at a crime scene
Sergent: oh wait, I think I know her, is she by any chance La adelita?
Lucy: maybe? I don't know
Sergent: yeah she might be the one, she is at midwhilshere
Lucy: oh, and sergent tim?
Sergent: yes Bradford, him also
Lucy: oh okay, thank you, we will be in touch


After the case and another was solved in a span of two weeks, lucy fully returned back to work

She was rewarded for her commitment to her job but they don't know she did it for tim. at that point, she felt defeated and tried to forget about him. What if he had someone he liked, she felt selfish for just thinking about herself not him.

A week later, rob and lucy were hanging out at a bar one night and they were talking about their feelings and stuff.
Lucy told rob that she was thinking of opening a dating app

Rob: that's a great idea, send me a link so that I can match with you
Lucy: ha ha funny
Rob: but will you put your actual name and job there
Lucy: no way, ill probably go as luna or something
Rob: its not believable, you don't look like a luna, think deep
Lucy: okay, mara
Rob: hell no, what!
Lucy: crystal?
Rob: I fear for you when you come to name your kids
Lucy: (laughs) since you are an expert, why don't you create the profile for me
Rob: sure, give me your phone

Lucy gave rob her phone and he downloaded tinder and created a profile for lucy. He didn't add her pictures yet because she wasn't sure if that's what she wanted. After a while, he handed her back her phone to check the profile.

Lucy: oh my God (laughs hard) no way
Rob: read it
Lucy: okay, Athena wang, really?
Rob: keep reading!
Lucy: you do know im half white right? My bio dad is white
Rob: oh, wait what?
Lucy: yeah, my real dad's name is Patrick Walsh, who is definitely a white guy
Rob: youre joking? What!! I didn't know
Lucy: yeah, lets see, oh so im a school teacher?
Rob: a very hot one
Lucy: rob!
Rob: sorry, keep reading
Lucy: Athena wang, school teacher, 29, fun, smart. Pretty... rob what is this?
Rob: its an interesting profile
Lucy: no, ill redo this when I get home (laughs) B- for effort dork
Rob: I should make myself one too
Lucy: or talk to Natalia
Rob: why
Lucy: you obviously know she likes you, and maybe when you two are together she will stop making me hate her
Rob: she is weird
Lucy: compared to you, she is fine
Rob: rude!
Lucy: agree to disagree, but take my advice okay
Rob: whatever
Lucy: its getting late, I have to go
Rob: where is my hug at
Lucy: I swear I don't know why we are friends
Rob: you lowkey cannot live without me
Lucy: well I have to go now
Rob: hope you will be alright
Lucy: yeah I will. Goodnight Robert
Rob: I felt something
Lucy: ergh, ew bro cmon
Rob: im sorry, lemme walk you out


Rob walked lucy to her car and went back in. lucy drove home, although she wasn't tired, she still wanted to crash on her bed. She took a shower, ate dinner and layed on her bed and turned on her favorite show on her ipad as she used her phone. She was going through her social media when she remembered the unfinished tinder profile and went straight to the app.
She kept laughing as she imagined herself as a teacher and then looked through her photos to add. She was worried about exposing her job to the public so she left the name, occupation, age and then put her real photo. She created her profile and kept her phone. Soon after, she dozed off.

The next day lucy woke up and noticed her phone battery was low so she stood up to plug it. But before then, she noticed tinder had so many notifications. She wasn't even eager to open the app so she went ahead and plugged in her phone and went to get ready. She still didn't have time to check her phone and went to work.

When she got to work, she went straight to rob to greet him.

Lucy: Robert
Rob: Lucinda
Lucy: what?! (laughs)
Rob: couldn't find a longer name
Lucy: whatever, how are you doing?
Rob: great, how was your night?
Lucy: peaceful

(phone buzzes three times)
Rob: aren't you going to check that
Lucy: nop, not yet
Rob: not yet? What if its important?
Lucy: its not
Rob: how would you know you didn't even check
Lucy: cuz I know where its from
Rob: okay, well since you already know, can I see?
Lucy: no
Rob: pleaseee
Lucy: sure I guess, but don't snoop okay
Rob: im not gonna make promises

Lucy gave rob her phone and he screamed immediately after he saw the notifications she had from tinder. He covered his mouth after he saw people looking at him. He pulled lucy to the side.

Rob: 200+ NOTIFICATIONS?
Lucy: yep
Rob: oh wow, cant blame them, you are a hottie, wait you did use your photo right?
Lucy: yes I did
Rob: oh I forgot about the meeting
Lucy: what meeting?
Rob: the meeting with the DA's office, ill see you at lunch and we can swipe on these people okay
Lucy: okay, bye


At lunch, rob drove lucy and him to their usual spot and rob proceeded to ask lucy for her phone and she gave him. He sat down next to her so that they could both see.

Rob: wow, its at 300 now
Lucy: open the app
Rob: okay

Rob opened the app and they started going through her matches

Rob: he is short
Lucy: but cute
Rob: no, left!
Lucy: rob! Ergh next
Rob: he looks good (opens his profile)
Lucy: he is a life guard? No, next


They kept going through a bunch until they saw someone that they didn't expect to see. They both gasped at the same time and looked at each other

Lucy: its...its tim!
Rob: yeah, but apparently his name is jake marshal, what the hell
Lucy: do you think someone is catfishing him?
Rob: no way, well actually we don't know
Lucy: swipe right
Rob: what, why? For all we know its probably a creep
Lucy: swipe right
Rob: your funeral
Lucy: it's a match, now we wait
Rob: no way, we have a lot more to go
Lucy: ive seen enough
Rob: party pooper

After lunch lucy went back to the office and went straight to the break room to hang out for a bit. As she was enjoying her time there. it was cut short by an agent who was looking for her.

Agent: agent chen
Lucy: yes?
Agent: someone is here to see you
Lucy: (confused) did they give you their name?
Agent: yes, seargent tim Bradford

Lucy sat up and paused a little and asked the agent where to find him.

Agent: he is at the lobby of second floor
Lucy: thanks agent denny
Agent: you are welcome

After the other agent left, lucy went to the toilet to freshen up. She went to her desk and took out her favorite lip gloss and ran towards the elevator. Natalia saw her and ofcourse thinks she is going out with rob until she saw rob come out of no where. He called out lucy's name but the door had already closed. He was confused and went to Natalia to ask her.

Rob: whats up with her? Why is she running?
Natalia: I honestly thought she was meeting you
Rob: she is never that excited to meet up with me
Natalia: she even took her lipgloss
Rob: what?! Its definitely a guy
Natalia: jealous?
Rob: never

Lucy took the elevator down to the second floor and saw tim with another cop talking and he didn't look happy. The whole walk to him she was worried about what might have happened.

She walked up to them and they turned around and looked at her.

Lucy: hey tim, how are you
Tim: im good lucy, how is work?
Lucy: work is here and there, and this is?
Tim: this is officer thorsen, he will be working with us on the case
Lucy: with us? Case? What are you talking about?
Tim: the agent that called for you didn't tell you?
Lucy: no she didn't
Tim: okay well, we need your help
Lucy: oh, okay

Lucy's mood changed from happy and excited to bored and uninterested. She was angry at herself for thinking tim came to see her because of the tinder match. She was so disappointed but she had to help them anyways.
Tim: we have a case of a drug bust, we were told you are the best on the team for going undercover, we spoke to your boss already, we are going to go undercover with you
Lucy: im confused, why wasn't I told about this? And why does the LAPD need the FBI?
Tim: it's a huge bust
Lucy: okay, (gets a phone call) oh she is calling me right now
Tim: wait, (turns to aaron) go back to the shop and get the case file
Aaron: yes sir
Tim: lucy
Lucy: yeah?
Tim: Athena wang I mean
Lucy's eyes widened and she gave him a confused look until she realized he is actually the one going by a fake name also.

Lucy: you weren't catfished?
Tim: nop
Lucy: why did you go by a fake name
Tim: so that when I match with someone I know and I don't like, I tell them I was hacked
Lucy: (laughs) omg
Tim: that's mostly why I came here, my captain wanted to come but I insisted that it would be better coming from me, but all your bosses were informed
Lucy: wow, this is...
Tim: crazy?
Lucy: yeah, why do you even have a profile tim, aren't you seeing someone?
Tim: when we met I was, my ex and I broke up like a week after
Lucy: oh wow, im sorry
Tim: its fine
Lucy: so, jake, will you follow me to my boss's office or what?
Tim: lets go

Lucy took tim to her floor where grace also was. Her and tim were talking and laughing as they walked past other agents working. Rob was surprisingly having a good conversation with Natalia. Rob noticed lucy and tim.
Rob: no way he showed up
Natalia: who showed up?
Rob: tim
Natalia: who?
Rob: don't worry, what were we even talking about?

Lucy took tim to grace for a briefing with other senior agents.

Lucy has been on two undercover operations in her entire time at the FBI. Both cases were serious cases which has gotten her some attention on the force.

This time again will be a more serious case for her.

There is a drug lord who went into hiding for a long time. There is word on the street that he still deals with drugs wherever he is hiding.

Lucy was briefed about her role. She will go undercover as a junkie looking for drugs. Officer thorsen will go undercover as a junkie as well and tim's role is going to be a one time role which might not end up happening. His role is to buy drugs from the seller, which will be the final piece of the operation.

After the meeting, lucy and tim stepped out and lucy handed him a copy of the updated case file.

Tim: thanks, I will give this to seargent grey
Lucy: who?
Tim: our watch commander at the station
Lucy: oh oh, hey how is angela doing?
Tim: she is great, she didn't know I was coming here, she would have told me to tell you hi
Lucy: aww, that's actually nice
Tim: I better get going
Lucy: okay, so...we did match on tinder right?
Tim: yes we did, and ive deleted the app
Lucy: oh
Tim: because I can ask you for your number
Lucy: (smiles) well I will gladly give it to you
Tim: why thank you

Lucy opened her pocket and took out her card and handed it to tim. tim thought it will be funny to give her his also so he did that. She let out a cute chuckle which for some reason Natalia heard and squinted her eyes and walked towards them.

Natalia: hey lucy
Lucy: hi
Natalia: who is this dashing young man
Lucy: this is sergent tim Bradford
Natalia: aren't you going to introduce me?
Lucy: (sigh) tim, this is Natalia
Natalia: agent Natalia and why did you call him by his name not sergent, you are a sergent right?
Tim: we are seeing each other

Lucy turned to tim with a cmile and confused look. Just a night before she was willing to let go of her feelings for tim and everything changed in a span of 16 hours. Natalia looked offended and mostly embarrassed.

Natalia: oh, im sorry lucy, I will see you around

Natalia walked away fast and disappeared soon after.

Lucy turned around and saw tim smiling at her with his left hand on his right arm.

Lucy: we are seeing each other?
Tim: she was clearly someone you don't get along with so I gave her something to feed on
Lucy: thanks for that
Tim: ill text you, then we can actually go out
Lucy: cant wait

Tim walked away and took the elevator down. Lucy went back to her desk and couldn't stop starring at his card and smiling. Rob came over.

Rob: im kinda in a hurry but what is happening!!!
Lucy: everything!
Rob: I wish I could chat, why don't we meet after work?
Lucy: i doubt that will be possible
Rob: are you busy?
Lucy: I have to mentally prepare for an undercover op
Rob: omg what? Em, we definitely have a lot to talk about so ill call you tonight okay?
Lucy: yes please, bye bobby
Rob: that's new! Okay bye


Lucy went back to starring at tim's card until she snapped out of it and took the case file to the quite room to study her role.
