Does This Mean What I Think It Means?

I walk into my apartment still processing what had happened when (Y/F/N) walks into sight and questions where the groceries were. Without a single word spoken, I flopped onto the couch holding the Game Stop bag in my left and my phone with Dan's contact profile on screen. She walked over to me and waved her hand in my face testing to see if I was paying any attention. Putting her hands on her hips, she gives up and walks down to the hallway.

Shocking myself out of my trance, I clear my head while opening the packaging and sliding the disk into the Wii. I stared at the title screen blankly as I played through the whole thing in my head over and over. I was so distracted that I was killed by one if the creatures in the first chase. Why am I thinking about this so much? I can't... No... I can't... Can I? I can't! I just met him! Well I knew about him before, but I met him in person only a few minutes ago! I can't have a crush on him already! I'm (somewhat) and adult, this isn't 8th Grade.

I sat on my bed with my pajamas on, still confused about earlier. All of a sudden, I hear my phone go off on my night stand. Who could be texting me now? I leaned over to grab it and check the time. 8:49 PM. I look down at the number, and it was one I had never seen. Could it be? I unlocked the screen out of curiosity and checked to see what they had sent me.

'Hey, it's Dan. Sorry I couldn't text you earlier, I had to record a Grump session with Arin.'

It is him!  I did a little Snoopy-happy dance in my head and happily replied to him.

'Hey Dan. It's okay. I can't wait to see the episode! :)'

'Ha ha! It was a lot of fun. It should be up by tomorrow actually.'

'Really? I thought it took more time to edit an episode.'

'Well since we have Barry and Kevin working together, it gets done quicker. I gotta go. Grump stuff. I'll talk to you later!'

'Okay! See ya!'

I locked my phone and lied down on my bed and pulled up my old, soft blanket to my shoulders as I set my head on the pillow. I couldn't wait to see the new episode!

~*The Next Morning*~

I eagerly sprung out of bed and grabbed my phone off of the night stand. I unlocked the screen to see new YouTube notification that said the Game Grumps posted a new video. I squeed with joy as I taped the notification which sent me to their newest episode of Super Mario 64. As usual, Arin kept dying and Dan laughed at his anger and rage towards the classic N64 game. But one conversation between them made me become more interested as they went on.

"Oh! Did I tell you about the girl I met at Game Stop today while I was picking up Mario Galaxy?"

"No Dan. Please, enlighten me on the--FUCK!!" Arin screamed as he had accidentally fallen off of a platform... again.

"She was actually a huge fan of ours and she was picking up a game that she saw us play that she really liked."

"Oh really? Which one was it?" he asked sounding more curious.

"Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. You know, my favorite!" I laughed at how fake and sarcastic he sounded.

"That was actually a really cool game. She's got good taste."

"It was so sad!" Dan yelled with some actual sadness laced into his tone.

"Did you get her name?"

"Yeah. It was (Y/N). She really pretty (H/L) (H/C) and she had these gorgeous (E/C) eyes. "

"Oh really?" Arin said in a comedic suspicious tone. How his voice was toned, you could practically hear the smirk he was wearing.

"Wait, what... Oh fuck."

Arin laughed as Dan continued to stutter about what he meant getting more and more frustrated. I didn't see the rest of the video since I was blushing so much I paused it so I could continue later. He sounded so serious... I brushed it off as I headed to the kitchen to make myself I bowl of cereal. (F/N) walked into the kitchen with her work uniform on. She grabbed the pot of coffee she apparently made, put all of her stuff in her purse, and then turned to me. "Now, (Y/N), I'm leaving for work and I trust that you will have no house parties while I'm gone." I stared at her with a look of confusion painted on my face and after a few seconds of silence she burst out laughing. "Haa~... I'm just kidding. Do whatever you want. Just don't burn the apartment down. " She joked. "Aww why not?" I whined as her and I smiled at each other and she walked out the door.

I grabbed my cereal, phone, and laptop and sat on the couch. There was nothing but silence until I heard my phone vibrate. It was Dan!

'Hey, (Y/N). I kinda told Arin about you yesterday and I was wondering if you would maybe like to come over for a bit?'

'Sure! I got nothing else to do today. How does 2pm sound?

'Great! I'll see ya then!

I looked at my phone clock and it read 12:29, so I had about an hour and a half to finish my breakfast, get ready, and walk over there since I didn't have a car. I quickly ate the rest of my cereal so I could squeeze in a quick shower. Don't wanna go over there smelling like roadkill, do I?

I dried my hair and got into my usual attire; jeans, a t-shirt, and my (F/C) converse. At about 1:03 Dan texted me the directions to his house. 'Hope this helps!' It turns out he didn't live too far, which was good since I had to walk and I would have needed to bring a bottle of water with.

I'm here... I hesitated to knock on the door, but a few seconds after I did, Dan opened up the door with Barry behind him and smiled.
