Dan's P.O.V
(Y/N)'s arms droop as I feel her breath and heartbeat slow down. I look down at her and, thankfully, she had fallen asleep. I felt relieved that she had calmed down. I hate seeing her so worked up. "Guys." I whisper. They all turn as I show them that (Y/N) had fallen asleep on me. "Aww." Suzy put her hands together and smiled. I had to admit, she was pretty cute when she slept. What am I saying? Everyone is cute when they're sleeping, right. Heh heh...
After the sirens stopped, we assumed it was okay. So I carefully carried the sleeping (Y/N) up into my room. I lied her down and pulled the covers over her. I softly walked out and down the stairs to the couch in the living room. "Hey," Arin was walking towards me in his pajamas. "You get that I don't want anyone leaving here till tomorrow, right?" "Dude, trust me, I get it. Actually, (Y/N) is sleeping in my room upstairs. I was gonna crash on the couch tonight." He chuckled as he put his hands on my shoulder. "Look, you and I both know that you like her. Now I won't spill the beans until you do, okay? Now if you two do become a couple, I'd just like to say that you would look cute together. Just sayin." I nod in embarrassment and he hands me a spare pillow and blanket. I take them both and set up my bed for the night, then I take the train to Sleepy Time Junction.
(Y/N)'s Dream
I'm at the Grump space having fun playing old arcade games with Arin, Suzy, Ross, Barry, and Dan. Then all of a sudden the sirens are going off. I'm yelling at them that there's a tornado, but no one is listening! I take a look at the sky and see that it's blood red. No one is listening, so I go to run down stairs until I hear the windows break and the wind is pulling me outside. At this point I'm screaming and holding on the banister for dear life until my grip loosens and I fly off. I see everyone try to grab me, but it's too late.
Reality
My eyes shoot open as I'm gasping for breath. I notice that I have tears streaming down my face and I'm shivering. I look around and notice that I'm neither in my room nor the Grump basement. Checking the time, I see that it's 3 AM. How long have I been out?
I kick off my covers and head down the stairs as quietly as I can just so I don't wake anyone. I turn into the living room to see Dan on the couch probably on his phone, considering I could see a glow of light, his back to me. I try to make my way to the kitchen to get myself some water, but the floor under me squeaks and I see Dan turn around. I hide so he can't see me, but then I hear him get up and walk towards my hiding spot. "(Y/N)?" I open my eyes and look up to see Dan standing right in front of me looking down on me. "What are you doing awake?" I shamefully sigh and stand up. "I had a nightmare." I mumble. Suddenly, he engulfed me in a hug. He let go, but he put both of his hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes with a concerned look. "Are you okay? Do you wanna talk about it?" "I'm okay, but I'd rather not talk about it..." I trail off.
He takes my hand in his and leads me to the couch where he sits me down next to him. "How 'bout we watch tv to get your mind off of it. How's that sound?" I nod as he turns on the tv, and keeps the volume low so it's quiet but still audible. He scrolls through to see that the Spongebob Movie is on. "I love that movie!" So he selects it off of the guide. We laugh along at the jokes and silly situations, we also sing along when Patrick and Spongebob sing about how they think they're men. I also surprise Dan by quoting some of the majority of the lines. "Woah. How many times have you seen this movie?" I laugh at the frequently asked question. "I watched this and a ton of old Spongebob episodes when I was a kid. It's like Monsters Inc. I can quote it from start to finish. The only difference being I can do Monsters Inc. much better." "Okay, I have got to see this." So he got up and went downstairs, to which I followed him. He made his way to a section of shelves, which I thought were all games, that were apparently movies. He scanned a few and picked out one and showed the cover to me: Monsters Inc. We both ran upstairs and he slid the disc in and hit play. I was so excited! Dan saw my excitement, "You must really love this movie, huh?" "I don't just love it, this is my childhood! I loved this movie so much as a kid, my mom's nickname for me was Boo."
Dan smiled as I hummed along with the intro. As the movie began, I started my quoting as soon as there was dialogue. "Alright, Mr. Bile is it? Uhh, my friends call em Flem. Mr. Bile, can you tell me what you did wrong? I fell down? No no before that. Can anyone tell me Mr. Bile's big mistake? Anyone? Ugh, let's look at the tape. Riiighhht bah bah bah bah bah! See? The door, you left it wide open." Dan's mouth kept opening up wider and wider with surprise as I continued on. It just made me smile.
After the movie, I stood up to walk back to my room when I felt Dan lightly grabe my wrist. I turn and see his face a little red. It was kind of cute. "Hey, (Y/N)?" His voice was so quiet it was close to a whisper. "Yeah?" "Do you wanna... sleep with me on the couch tonight? N-Not in the sexual way, but just in case you have any more nightmares." I smiled at his studdering and sat back down to silently say yes. He layed back down and I layed down with him, puting his arm around me and pulling the blanket over the both of us. We both fell asleep and I might've been the happiest girl in the world.
Oh my god that's a lot of words. This was a fun chapter since, yes, I actually can quote Monsters Inc in it's entirety. That's how many times I've seen it. Anyway, thanks for reading this story! Buh-bye! :D
