To my surprise there's no one to blame, no body came what a shame, shame, shame.

"Mavi! Let's go, we're gonna be late!" Diego shouted.
Diego was met with dead silence for a few minutes, before he sighed, walking off to find the younger girl. For someone who had the ability to be so loud, she sure didn't use it when needed.
Walking around the small apartment, it didn't take to long for Diego to spot the young teen. Mavis sat at the dining table, in the dark black dress with a book in hand. Diego sighed rather dramatically, knowing he'd have to persuade Mavis.
"Hey, Mavi, we gotta get going." Diego said, softly.
"I don't wanna." Mavis groaned, letting the book fall to the table, as she threw herself back in the chair.
Another sigh, Diego had been doing that alot lately. "Come on kid that was your dad, we gotta go." Diego tried.
Mavis let out a hmmph, as she looked up at the man she considered her father figure. "Luther was more of a dad to me than him." Mavis pointed out.
Diego gasped in fake shock, at the words the younger girl had just said. "Hey, what did we say about mentioning, space boy?" Diego asked, raising his eyebrows.
Diego had practically raised Mavis by himself, sure he'd taken her to Grace every weekend to make sure they hand a bond. Also once a month Mavis would go to Vanya, or Allison for quality sister time, but otherwise it has always been Diego and Mavis against the world, or atleast since Mavis was two.
"We don't mutter a word about the L word." Mavis said, mocking the words of Diego.
"Good, now let's go before I drag you out by those boots." Diego said, shortly.
Mavis rolled her eyes, pushing the chair backwards, before getting out of it. Mavis followed Diego to the car, with lord of the flies in hand, as the duo started on their way towards the umbrella academy.

"Mom! Mom!" Diego shouted, like he was the banshee.
Mavis looked at the momma's boy, wondering if he was actually capable of looking after her? Maybe Mavis had ruined his life, it's not like he could just up and move, or actually be his full potential while looking after a supernatural teenager. Maybe she should move back in the house? Her main antagonist was dead now, it would just be Mavis, Grace, and pogo here, then Diego would be free of responsibility.
Mavis was so deep in her thoughts, she hadn't realized her surroundings. Mavis was in the kitchen, along with Diego, and Grace, Grace was busying herself by making cookies.
"Mom?" Diego asked, more gently.
Grace hummed, turning around to the duo, before smiling sweetly. "Yes dear?" Grace asked.
