It's been a week, and we still dont know if we had made up or not. He had I hadn't. It's unfair to me, and it's unfair to him. I hate this. I hate the fact that he hadn't moved on still and might be using me as a distraction, so I need to set things straight with him.

I begin driving to his apartment after a long day of court. Harry buckled in his car seat in the backseat. He plays with the toys attached to the seat. I smile at the sight. It's a sight for sore eyes.

We finally arrive. I pull the car into a parking and switch off the engine. I take a deep breath before unbuckling my seatbelt. I step out of the car and unlock the backseat to umbuckle Harry.

I hold Harry in my arms with one hand and the other hand fixing my hair. I need to look presentable. For him.

I head to the elevator, and it's starts moving towards his floor. The elevator finally comes to a stop with a silent ding.
I step out of the elevator, taking a deep breath once again.

I walk towards his flat and ring the doorbell. I take a deep breath again. pressing my lips together to spread the lip gloss on.

After waiting for a few moments. The door swings open, revealing a blonde short chair, and her body looks like a model. I'll never look like her at all. Is Noah...is that..?

I open my mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. Suddenly, a muscular frame comes into view behind the blondie. I look up and see Noah. His face is yellow.

"Jame?" He says, stepping forward, taking Harry from my arms, and then giving me a quick hug. I'm still frozen at the sight of the woman. Will he explain?

"Please come in." He says, pushing past the blondie and letting me in. I step in and look around to see soap and tea.
"Jessica, you can leave." He speaks up, breaking the silence.

"No, but -" She says, but before she can continue, he speaks up again.

"No, you can leave." He says more demanding this time.

"Who'll take care of you if not me? Her?" She looks at me up and down with a disgusted expression.

"Yes, actually." He says, wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him. "My future wife will be the one taking care of me." He says I can't help but smile but hide the smile. Her face falters, and she steps out of the house. Noah then slams the door and puts Harry on the couch, kneeling down and playing with him.

I stand there like a statute, not knowing what to do. He reaches for my hand and pulls me closer to him and Harry. "I mean every word I said judge." He whispers, pulling me down to kneel against him. I sink down to my knees. He pulls me closer, so I'm against his chest. He kisses my shoulder.

"We need to talk." I start. He sighs and nods. "First Noah, we can't keep going on like this." I blurt out."I mean, dont get me wrong. I like hanging out and being with you, but I seriously get over her. I'm sorry I might be in the wrong, but I can't keep playing the ghost in the story."

"I'm sorry. I know. I know I'm not enough. I just.." I pull him into a hug

"I told you. You're enough. But until you fully get over her, then come to me, okay?" I kiss his cheek and scoop Harry up. "I'll wait." I say softly.

I walk to the front door and glance back at him one more time. I smile and head out.

I walk to my car with tears in my eyes. Why did I have to do that? I could've said I'll stay and help you overcome it. God, am I stupid.

I drive back home. As I drive back home, rain suddenly drops down on the windshield. At a stop light, I stare at two raindrops who stay by each other's side until another rain drip comes between them and pulls them apart. Harry is fast asleep. i look at him and hear his soothing soft breaths.

The only sound in the car is Harry's soft breathing, and the rain drops, hitting hard on the windshield. There is nothing else to distract me from my horrible thoughts.

I'm only human. Why is everything happening to me. One thing I want is Noah. I need him by side. Him driving while I entertain. His hand on my knee or thigh. In love. Wait, what? Is that love? No, it's not. Is it?
