Chapter 26 noah

The ladies are all dancing. Millie, Madison, Hailey, Nancy the bride, Eliana, Katie, Jamie, Naomi, and Isabelle. All around the bride. Nancy looks beautiful as usual. But her white lacy dress flowing around.

Bob, on the other hand, looks like a mess. He looks like a pit of nerves.  Cameron and I stay by his side, giving him advice.

"Dude, toughen up, you're like in your biggest day, and you're nervous?" Cameron says.

"Cameron, please shut up. You were nervous, too. At your wedding." Bob says, his voice shaky, showing his nervousness. I was about to speak when suddenly my phone buzzes in my pocket. I pull it out.

"I'll be back, guys. I have to take this." I say, clapping Bob on the back. I walk away and head over to the exit to avoid the sound of blasting music. I answer it on the third ring.

"Hello, Noah Winifred." The voice says

"Yeah, hello. Is everything okay?"

"I'm afraid we have to postpone the plan. It'll take another month, sir."

"That can't be. I already gave you a specific date, and you agreed! What do you mean another month?!" I say anger fuming through my veins. I can't hold back the anger anymore. Suddenly, I feel a comforting hand on my arm. I turn around and see it's Isabelle. "I'll call you back." I hang up and begin explaining to Isabelle.

After I hung up, Isabelle and I come up with a plan, and I agreed on it. I call the lady back.

"Here's what I wanna do. Just give me the helicopter for rent and I'll do the rest."

"Sir, the helicopter is like $2000 for rent."

"Did I say I won't pay?" I say, trying to calm myself down.

I take a few minutes outside to get some air already, thinking how I'm gonna pull this off. But Isabelle said she'll help, and Isabelle is good at these things. It's gonna work. I convince myself.

I head back inside to the view of the ladies getting ready for the bouquet toss. I take a seat next to Cameron. Nancy steps in front and turns around, preparing to throw the bouquet. She throws it up into the air, and it flies, and suddenly, Jamie catches it. I smile and stand up she runs to me, and I lift her up, spinning her as she laughs. I set her back down she looks up at me and smiles.

She hands the bouquet to Nancy and turns back to me. "Doctor Noah, that means..."

"Judge, you should know by now I know what it means." She looks up at me in surprise. Did she really think I wouldn't marry her? "What?" I ask.

"Nothing, I just didn't think.." She trials off.

"Jamie, are you doubting that I'll propose?" She looks up at I look at her eyes searching for the answer. I cup her cheeks. "I love you, okay?" She smiles and nods.

"I love you too." I give her a small peck on the lips.

We dance the night away. We laugh and chat with our friends and family. I spin Jamie and pull her back to me.

I look at Millie and Jackson. Both of them are dancing along to the upbeat song. Pointing at each other gesturing the lyric  describing them.

Madison has her back against Miles chest as they sway along the music.

Gavin and Katie are swaying, holding hands to Katie's side. As if showing off Katie's long-time wedding ring on her ring finger.

Archer and Eliana are kissing each other as soon as the beat drops. Archer wrapping his hand on Eliana's waist.

Cameron and Hailey are looking over the Polaroids  they took. Deciding on which one is the best looking. Which is the best flattering one.

Isabelle and Elliot are taking a picture side by side. Isabelle in front of Elliot with elliots hand on her stomach. Are they telling us something? Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Theo and Naomi are at the table Naomi holding a drink when suddenly Theo kisses her without warning. I have a feeling she teased him with something. Typical.

I take Jamie's hand and lead her over to a table, pulling her down on my lap.

"How do you feel that Bob got married?" Jamie asks, looking at me.

"Honestly, I never thought he'd actually marry Nancy. I always saw them as best friends. Don't get me wrong, but I always thought Bob saw Nancy as his sister. Nothing more. I was wrong." I answer and then take a sip of the drink in my hand.

"How's Harry, by the way?"

"He's with Andrew. Reminds me I need to check on them." She opens her purse and pulls out her phone. She unlocks it and texts Andrew.

As soon as she's done. I take her hand and pull her up, leading her to the dance floor. The slow song starts playing, and I take her hand, guiding it around my neck, and my hands go down to her waist, and we start swaying. As we're dancing, Jamie rests her head on my chest, right above my heart. She can hear how mych she's affecting me. This woman. My woman brings me peace, and I love it, and I love her. She's not like the other girls I was ever with. Nothing like them all at all. She erased my scars in my heart and made me live the best love story ever. She made a small part of my heart only for her. My heart only beats for her the way it does.

I love her so much that I never wanna live without her. I kiss her head, careful not to mess up her beautifully styled hair. Her black dress complementing all of her beauty. I'd actually die if I ever leave her. But I don't plan on leaving her. Ever.

Her and Harry are my people. My favorite people. I exist because of them. I keep going just for her.
