When we went to the yaht, I did think that he would propose. I guess I was wrong. I don't think he will. I'm probably guessing he wants to break up. If he wants to marry me, why is he making me wait? I'm waiting for one more month.
I sigh and work on dinner as he plays with Harry in the backyard. He moved into a bigger house. The best part about it. Were neighbors with Andrew.
Noah had surprised me when coming home from the yaht. He drove here, and I found everything of my belongings already unpacked and ready. There's 3 bedrooms upstairs and 3 bathrooms all upstairs and downstairs. There's 1 guestroom and a bathroom and the kitchen along with the living room.
"Babe?" I call out. Not even a minute passes by Noah enters.
"Yes?" He asks, stepping closer to me.
"Taste this. See if it's missing anything." I bring the spoon to his mouth. He opens his mouth and takes a bite. He lets out a soft sigh.
"This is amazing. You outdone yourself, babe. This tastes like the best food I have ever tasted."
______
We eat dinner like a little family. Harry and Noah chat, and I can't help but stare at both of them. Noah does make a great father, and it has me wondering about us. Us having a little family. Our family. I can't help imagine how it would be.
Harry knocks over the cup of juice. I stand up to clean it. But then Noah sits me back down.
"I got it. You've been in the kitchen since the morning. I'll do it." He brings napkins and begins cleaning the table where juice spilled. Harry just giggles. I shake my head in disbelief.
He wipes the table and takes a seat back but moves any kind of liquids away from Harry.
______
Noah and I look over at all the rows of pastries. We finally decide to bring a box of multiple options. We pick 3 donuts and one croissant and one Cinnabon.
We begin driving towards Andrew's house. We're going to celebrate his first day at work. I wonder if it went well.
We arrive, and I approach the front door along with Harry. He tiptoes and rings the doorbell. Moments of waiting the door finally swings open, revealing Andrew. Andrew scoops Harry up and gives me a side hug. Harry giggles, fighting Andrew, wiggling his way out of his grip. Noah comes up behind me holding the pastires.
"Work is great. I met a lot of nice people."
"Did you meet that c girl?" I ask, taking a sip out of my orange juice.
"No, but I saw a glimpse of her office. Jamie, it's really tidy and neat. She's a neat freak, I can tell just by the office. I don't like that. You know me, I'm the complete opposite."
"You are, but hey, maybe she'll help you with cleaning up. Maybe she'll teach you how to be organized."
"Nah, I don't have time for that." He says. Typical. I laugh along with Noah. Andrew plays with Harry's hair.
"I did meet a girl named Brooke, but she works with the police. I do, too, but I'm a secret agent working with the c girl who's fbi agent."
"That's nice. How was she?"
"She's nice. But she was giving Nicholas the death stares I noticed." He tells us. He reaches and takes a custard filled donut and takes a bite.
"This is really good. You didn't have to bring it for me, you know?"
"But we wanted to. As a congratulations for your work." Noah admits.
"Thank you, guys. Jame, have you talked to dad or mom at all this month?".
"Not until they apologize, I won't."
"Jame." He says softly.
"Andrew no, they hurt me and soled the house without telling me."
"You knew they had to. They're in a really tough place."
"I don't care. They should've told me." I take a cookie chocolate covered donut and take a bite.
_______
I look around the Nicly designed venue. It's filled with flowers and flowers everywhere. Noah and I walk in arm in arm. I'm wearing a black short dress with a long v cut. Noah is wearing his suit. I turn to him and fix his collar.
"I hate weddings." He mutters. I look up at him.
"That's not nice. Be happy for Nancy." I tell him. He groans.
"I have better places to be." I look up at curious where he needs to be.
"I have a meeting." He says, not looking at me. I can't help but feel like he's lying. But I push it to the side. I take his hand and walk over to where Nancy's standing in her beautiful white dress.
"Nancy. Pleasure to meet you. I'm Jamie. Noah's girlfriend." I tell her. She smiles immediately.
"Oh my, it's a pleasure to finally meet you!" She hugs me. I chuckle as she hugs me tightly.
"Noah and I are very happy to be here. Congratulations." I tell her. Okay, it might be a lie, but I can't tell her the truth.
After I chat with Nancy for a while I walk and look around for Noah. I find him fixing Bob's suit. Giving him advice or a talk before the wedding begins. The venue is empty only Noah and I and Nancy's sister Hailey and Cameron and Katie and Isabelle. Isabelle is working on the decorations around the venue. Did she design this? She seems to be bossing the people around.
Cameron is beside Noah fixing Bob's hair, and Katie is fixing his suit, avoiding the wrinkles. I look over at Hailey fixing Nancy's makeup and hair. I feel useless.
Hailey looks at me and smiles. "Come. Why stand there?" I chuckle a bit embarrassed.
"I don't know what to do I'm sorry." I tell her as I walk over to them. She chuckles
"Don't be embarrassed. Do anything. Help me or Isabelle she needs....someone to calm her down." I look over my shoulder to see Isabelle shouting at a worker.
"You're really pretty, by the way." Nancy tells me. I smile.
"Ah thank you." I answer.
"Hailey imagine me, a 23 year old getting married insane." Nancy blurts out the nerves hitting her.
