Standing under shower
I let go of everything
Every role attached to me
Of who I am
Naked and bereft
Of understanding and grace

Of nutrition and care
A static mind
Fixated on problems and people's lies
Of overexpectations and underperformance
Of lack of abundance and deprivation
All that I remain is
simply A woman
And maybe that's why
It takes time.
