Riley's POV

The rest of school that day was meeting everyone in my classes. At lunch i sat by myself. I didn't feel alone though because a lot of people sat alone. In one class I met a girl named Rosie and we talked a little but didn't have much in common. We gave each other our numbers.

"How was your first day?" My dad asked me once I got home. (A/N In this story Cory is not Riley's teacher.)

"It was okay." I said.

"Friends?" My dad asked.

"Not really." I answered.

"Well it is only the first day." My dad said.

"Yeah. Well I am Going to head down to the restaurant. See ya later." I said as I walked out the door and down the street.

When I walked in I saw Farkle and all the other popular kids. They were sitting on the coaches and talking and laughing. I didn't think any of them knew that my mom owned this and I wanted to keep it that way.

I had only a few rules for myself and one of them is to never talk to the popular kids unless I have to. They never lead to anything good.

I sat down in the window seat and pulled out my phone. I decided to text Rosie.

Me:  Hey it's Riley.

Rosie: Hey

Me: What's up. I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

Rosie: Of course not. You saved me from talking to my dad. Thank you.

Me: Sure. I know how that feels :)

Rosie: haha

Me: So do you have a lot of friends at school.

Rosie: Not really only you :)

Me: Oh. Same

Rosie: :D Cool. Everyone else in my classes are popular kids.

Me: I have unpopular kids in my classes but they don't talk. :(

Rosie: Oh.

Me: I got to go. You want to sit together at lunch tomorrow?

Rosie: Sure! ttyl

I turned off my phone and put it in my pocket. My mom was getting off work soon. I started to get up but with my luck one of the popular kids saw me.

"What are you doing here? This is only for kids who can talk to people." One of them shouted at me.

"I can talk." I said.

"It's a miracle!" Another one shouted.

"Come on let's go. She isn't worth our time." Farkle said.

"Yeah. Let's go." A few of them mumbled. All of them left but Farkle stayed.

"Sorry about that." He said then followed the others out the door.

Maybe not all popular kids were that bad.

Maya's POV

I had a little bit of more luck throughout the rest of school. None of the popular kids messed with me so I thought everything would be alright. I guess I was wrong.

After school I always went to Topanga's because that's where my mom works. Luckily none of the kids at school knew this or my life would be over. My mom was always a huge embarrassment.

I got on the subway and headed to Topanga's. I walked inside and sat down at one of the tables towards the back. After my mom finished taking a order she smiled at me then went to make whatever the person had ordered.

I got out my phone and was looking on Instagram. Already all of the popular kids had posted thousands of pictures from school and them on the subways. One of  them said, "Headed to Topanga's!". I have got to get out of here.

I stood up and went to head out the door, but just my luck all the populars were just walking in.

"Excuse me." I said as I tried to get out the door. On of the kids shoved me really hard and I fell sideways. My head slammed into the corner of the door. It hit right next to my eye and pain shot through my head.

All of the kids laughed I went to stand up and a kid kicked me in the ribs. I laid there until they all went and sat down. I got up quickly. Which was a mistake. Pain roared through my head and the world started to tilt as black spots dotted my vision. I shakily walked outside and made it to the steps.

I felt a hand on my shoulder as someone turned me around. When I saw that it was Farkle, the most popular kid, I backed up and tripped on the stairs. Before my head could hit the concrete he caught me and helped me stand up.

"Listen, just please don't hurt me and leave me alone." I said as my voice cracked from fear.

"I won't hurt you and I'm sorry my friends took it that far. I don't like it when they do." He said.

"If you didn't like it you wouldn't still be their friend." I said as I turned around and ran for the subway.

Farkle's POV

I watched her run to the subway. I sighed. I wish other kids knew what it was like to be me. Of course I was rich and had "Friends" but I can't stand any of them. I can't tell anyone that. One person figures out, I'm dead. My life was like that once and I'm never going back.
