Chapter 7

Lucas's POV

I was kneeling next to Riley on the floor in school. Come on Riley, please wake up. I thought. Farkle, the most popular boy, I had learned, was walking up to Missy. Once he saw Riley on the ground he started to freak.

"Missy! Did you do this!?" Farkle screamed.

"Well, yeah. I didn't know she was gonna get knocked out." She said with her fake pouting face.

"Just go!!" Farkle yelled at her. Missy turned and ran away. "Is she okay?" Farkle asked as he leaned down next to me.

I lost it. "No she's not okay!! You're a popular to, why don't you go run after Missy and just keep living your perfect life!!" I screamed at him. I felt bad. Obviously he was not like that. He had tried to help. "Sorry." I apologized.

"It's okay. I get it." Farkle said. "I'll go get a teacher." He said and started to stand up.

"Don't worry, Maya already did." I said. Right on cue, Maya ran to us with a teacher.

"Oh my gosh!!" The teacher exclaimed. "What happened."

"She fell and hit her head. Please just call for help." I said.

"She pulled out her phone and walked away. When she walked back she spoke. "The ambulance is on it's way." She said. 
"SO I know she didn't just fall, what happened?"

"Missy pushed her and one of her friends tripped her. As she fell she hit her head." I explained.

"Thank you. " The teacher said. "What are your names?" She asked.

"My name is Lucas, this is Maya and Farkle." I answered. 

"Thank you." She said.

 The ambulance pulled up outside. People poured into the school.

"Please step out of the way." Someone said. They lifted her up and carried her away.

"Can we please come to?" Maya asked.

"Only family is allowed."

"Please. We are her friends and we saw what happened." She said.

"Fine. Follow me." A man said.

We followed him to the back of the ambulance. It was full of machines and Riley was in the middle of it.

"Please sit in the back and stay out of the way." The man said. We made our way to the back and sat down. The man got out and shut the back doors. People were surrounding Riley. I looked to my side to see Maya on the verge of tears. "She will be okay." I said. She nodded her head and the rest of the ride was silent.
