Chapter 10

Maya's POV

I couldn't believe Farkle made me go into a closet with Lucas. Was it that obvious that I liked him. I mean he was really hot. It wasn't just that. I knew that he was bullied. I found out the day Riley went to the hospital. I was just attracted to him.

I was actually kinda happy that Farkle gave me that dare. But I don't think that Lucas likes me. He was really concerned about Riley and he didn't even know her well. And I don't know if Riley likes him. If she does than I couldn't date him anyway.

I got up and walked to the closet with Lucas. We went inside and he shut the door behind him. I turned on the light and slid down the wall.I had to be cool about this. He sat down next to me. 

"Soooo," he said.

"So, tell me about yourself," I said.

"Um, okay. I am 16 in a month," he said.

"Okay, tell me more."

"No. I told you something now you tell me something."

"Okay, I turned fifteen three months ago."

"Cool. I moved here from Texas."

"Okay, Ranger Rick. I have lived here my whole life."

"Ranger Rick? Whatever. I live with my dad. My mom still lives in Texas."

"I live with my mom," I told him. I didn't want to tell him a lot about that.

"What about your dad?" He asked.

"My dad left a long time ago," I told him. I looked at his face and he didn't have a look of pity. Almost everyone I told that to always had a look of pity on their face. I wanted to kiss him so badly, but I don't make the first move in case they don't like me back.

Knock, Knock, Knock. "Come out!" Farkle yelled through the door. I stood up and opened the door. Lucas, Farkle and I walked back out to Riley.

"Sooooooooo?" Riley whispered to me when I sat down. 

I laughed. "Riley all we did was talk."

"Bay window tomorrow," she said.

"Okay."

Riley's POV

I wished that someone would've dared me to go in a closet with Farkle. He was so sweet. He was cute to. He was popular, but he fit right in. I asked Maya what happened because I thought that she liked Lucas. They just talked, so I guess I was wrong.

Lucas kept looking over at me and staring. So did Farkle. I think that they both liked me.

"Okay, Riley, truth or dare?" Maya asked me.

"Dare," I said. I didn't usually pick dare, but I did in case it had to do with Farkle.

"I dare you to kiss Farkle," she said.

I was screaming in my head. I turned to Farkle and he had a smile on his face. We both leaned in. Our lips connected and I felt fireworks through my whole body. Our lips moved in sync and I never wanted it to end. 

"Okay! Break it up lovebirds!!" Maya yelled. 

I pulled away smiling and blushing. Farkle was doing the same. I pulled all the way away and sat a little closer to him. I looked away from him and Maya was grinning like crazy. I looked at Lucas and he was frowning. I looked really sad.

"I've got to go. See you guys Monday," he said ass he stood up.

I had forgotten it was the weekend. "Stay. We can all have a sleepover."

"No. I should really go," he said. He turned around and walked out the door.

"I'll be back," Maya said as she stood up and walked out the door.

"Soooo," Farkle said.

"Did you like it?" I asked him. I covered up my mouth in embarrassment.

"I did," he said with a smile on his face. He leaned in and our lips connected and moved in sync.

Lucas's POV

I couldn't believe Riley and Farkle were going to kiss. I watched as their lips meant and a dagger went through my heart. They pulled away and they both had smiles on their face. I couldn't handle it.

"I've got to go. See you guys Monday," I said as I stood up.

"Stay. We can all have a sleepover," Riley said with a confused look on her face.

"No. I should really go," it came out harsher than I intended. I walked out the door. I was walking down the hallway. I heard footsteps and felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Lucas, wait," it was Maya's voice.

I turned around. "I really have to go."

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"I like Riley. She kissed Farkle and liked it," I told her.

"Oh. I'm sorry. But come back. You two can still be friends," she said.

"Okay. I guess." I followed her back into Riley's apartment. When we walked in Riley and Farkle sprang apart. This was going to be a hard night.
