Chapter 9

Riley's POV

I opened my eyes slowly. I looked around and realized I was in the hospital. I turned to my left and saw my dad holding my hand with his eyes closed.
"Dad?" I said. He opened his eyes and a smile formed on his face.
"Riley!" He exclaimed. He leaned down and kissed my forehead. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I answered.
"Good." He said.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Maya told me that when you got to school, Missy and her friends attacked you. You hit your head and passed out. You have a small concussion, but you'll be okay." My dad told me.
"Okay good." I said. "Where is mom?" I asked.
"She is at a case right now so she couldn't come." My dad said.
"Oh. Okay. When can I get out of here?" I asked.
The door to the room I was in opened and a nurse walked in. "You can leave right now. Just take it easy and you will be fine," She said.
"Yay!!! Thank you!" I said.
I made my way out to the waiting room. Maya, Lucas, and that kid Farkle had their backs turned towards me. They were talking about if I would be okay.
"I think I'll be fine," I said as I placed my hand on Maya's shoulder.
They all jumped and turned around.
"Riley!" They all screamed. Maya and Lucas ran over to me and hugged me.
I leaned over to Maya and whispered, "What is he doing here?" I asked, talking about Farkle.
"He's a part of our group now," She whispered back to me. "Okay," I said to her. I walked over to Farkle. "So your a part of our group?" I asked him.
"Yeah?" He mumbled.
"Cool," I said and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me back. "Welcome."
He smiled.
"Well let's get out of here!" I exclaimed. "You can all come to my house!"
"Okay! Let's go!" Maya exclaimed.

Farkle's POV

I was so happy when Riley hugged me. She was so beautiful. Her chocolate brown eyes made me melt every time she looked at me. I couldn't believe I was going to her house. Of course Maya and Lucas were coming to, but still.
Riley and Maya sat in the middle and me and Lucas sat in the back. Mr. Matthews turned the radio on and we all sang along to the songs. Riley had such a beautiful voice.
When we got to her house Maya, Lucas, and I sat down on the couch. Riley came in and kept standing.
"I have got to get back to work, but your Uncle Josh will be here soon." Mr. Matthews said as he stood by the door.
"Okay dad. Bye," Riley said. "Truth or dare time!!!!" Riley said. She was always so adorable.
We sat down in a circle on the floor. Riley was on my right, Lucas on my left, and Maya in between them.
"Okay. I'll go first. Farkle, truth or dare?" Riley asked me with her sweet voice.
"Truth," I answered.
"Is the girl you like in this room?" She asked.
" Yes," I answered right away. Her and Maya looked at each other and shared a look. A wish I knew what it meant.
"Okay. Maya, truth or dare?" I asked her.
"Dare," She answered.
"I dare you to spend ten minutes in a closet with Lucas."
"Okay. Whatever. It's not like this little guy could do anything."
She stood up at the same time Lucas did and they walked over to the closet and shut the door.
