She loves to dance
Prance around with the dark
Let her troubles depart
With a sway of her arms
A shake of her hips
All her problems cease to exist
When the light was at its dimmest
She found it easiest to resist
Ignore the person she was supposed to be
The music soars through her
A beat of a drum
So loud her heart can't help but thrum
But when the lights turn on
And the music stops
There is only a flicker of memory
Of what it was like
To dance with the dark
