Council Meeting
Robin's POV
"It's tiring, Ate," I declined.
She wants me to go to Elidoria to present our family for the upcoming council meeting.
Elidoria will be the venue and leaders from Arsamanedon will be there too, unfortunately, the Empress couldn't come due to unknown reasons.
"Isama mo nalang si Magnus," she glanced to my twin.
He pointed himself with his eyes widened. "Bakit ako?! Wag na! Ayoko na dun!"
"Both of you," the Empress breathed and the surroundings turned cold, I could see some snowflakes floating around. "Why are you disobeying me?"
I bit my lips. "Fine."
"No, I will be going on my own," she suddenly said, which made me want to just choke myself. "You both stay here," she turned serious.
"Ate, wag ka ng magtampo," Magnus came to her to try and hug her but she just shot him with her piercing eyes. "Bahala ka, yayakapin pa rin kita," Magnus wrapped his arms around her shoulder.
What's with her? Her temper is not well lately, she easily gets mad. Mood swings, I guess.
Maybe she is facing something that she won't tell us yet.
"Kami na ni Robin, mag pahinga ka nalang," my twin gave me a meaningful look.
But he's right, I can't watch my sister mad.
"We will be leaving now," I announced and got up.At last, the Empress finally smiled. "Take care, okay? Bring Evette with you."
"Wag na," tanggi ni Magnus. "Tara na bal."
"Portal or horse?" I asked him.A fire surrounded us. "Portal ko nalang."
I didn't say a word to him and just picked out a cigarette. Using his fire, I lit the cigarette that was on my mouth and inhaled.
"Baho, kambal!" reklamo niya.
I turned in the opposite direction. "Sorry."
"Ligpit mo muna yan, sa throne room tayo," I did what he said and kept my cigarette with me.
His flames were warm, like it could burn my skin but it didn't, it was bearable.
I bowed when we appeared in front of Maximillian. He was sitting comfortably on his throne, holding a rose that he kept near his nose. He was glowing like the king he is.
His legs were spread wide, while smelling the rose.
"Maximillian," I called him.
He looked up to me and smiled. "Rhiannon," he called my name too. "Magnus," his smile went brighter seeing my brother who became his friend.
"Where is the Empress?"
"Nasa palasyo," sagot ni Magnus sa kanya. "Ayaw mo ba sa presensya namin kasi kung hindi susunugin nalang kita."
His smile dropped. "You're still the same."
I watched my twin's reaction. "Ganoon talaga."
"You smell like smoke, Rhiannon," baling niya sa akin.
I looked at him with my poker face. "You smell like shit."
He chuckled. "Not gonna believe you when you say that, enchantress tells me that I smell like roses..." he smelled the roses again.
"Yeah?" I raised a brow before lighting my cigarette again. "Start the meeting, Maximillian, I'm bored."
"Payag ka niyan? Inuutos-utusan ka lang oh."
