Conscience
Robin's POV
I was still worried about Maximillian that I had to run to him to check if he was okay and that freaking King... is talking to a flower.
"You are crazy," kuha ko sa atensyon niya.
Lumingon lang siya sa akin. "Look at this flower."
"It's a fucking rose."
Maximillian chuckled, causing the flowers around him to bloom. "Roses are my symbol, Princess Robin."
Tumayo siya at pinagpagan ang magarang kasuotan niya. "Why do you look like you were in a rush?"
"I thought that I'll find you dead," I casually said.
"Why is that?"
I shut my mouth because I feel like I just ran out of words. Nakakapagod mag salita.
"Have you found anything strange?"
"Aside from your face? No."
I walked away from him, eyeing the surroundings incase that vampires suddenly attacked us. I let out a sigh of relief when I realized that they had finally left.
"I should go back to Auroravale," I told Maximillian.
He looked at me and nodded. "I'll go with you."
Gusto kong itanong kung bakit pa siya sasama but I think I can't ask him about it, baka may kailangan lang siya sa empress.
Maximillian's face turned sour when he saw me lighting a cigarette. I didn't mind him and continued puffing it.
Wala na siyang nagawa nang dalhin kami ng kapangyarihan ko sa loob mismo ng palasyo. I had to bow my head when I saw that the portal brought us in front of the empress and the king.
"Robin!" My sister was already smiling while her arms were wide open widely, ready to hug me but she stopped midway when she saw the cigarette between my fingers.
She even frowned when he saw the King going into my direction to get the cigarette from my hand and use it to light his own cigarette.
"The two of you will be the death of me," she shook her head in disbelief. "Maximillian!" baling niya sa haring kasama ko. "What brought you here?"
When King Percival gave me back my cigarette, I turned my back to them to leave at once.
"Worry less, Empress, I will leave after exploring the city of snow," I heard Maximillian answer. "Robin, do you want to tour me around?"
Tinaas ko lang ang kamay ko habang naglalakad palayo sa kanila, it was my way of saying no.
Why does he need me to tour him around when he already went here a hundred times?
I'm not planning to go to my chambers, I was trying to leave the palace and go to the ocean.
I want to swim."San ka pupunta kambal? Kakarating mo lang," Magnus was walking on his way out too.
I didn't answer him and continued walking.
"Hindi ka talaga natututo, Magnus. Puno yang kambal mo!" He scolded himself like a retarded person.
"Ay, anong nangyari diyan?" he held my wrist to stop me from walking to check why there was a cloth wrapped around my foot.
"Nasugatan ka? Ngayon lang kita nakitang binigyan ng lunas ang sarili mo.""I didn't put the cloth," I tried to shove him away but he was already kneeling and touching my foot.
"Eh? Wala namang sugat?"
